The amount of bowl games now is simply ridiculous. I'd rather see a few different 4-team playoffs around the country than 40 meaningless bowl games
Those "40 meaningless bowl games" serve a purpose. Without those games on the tv, my average time spent at a holiday party would plummet by 175 minutes.
So, this is cool ... Caltrans crews blow up giant boulder blocking Highway 50 near Kyburz: https://t.co/hwzpttyMQS pic.twitter.com/i69s2VtrCa— Derek Schnell (@DerekKCRA) January 14, 2016
Apparently it's something called shock tube. Or so says Reddit ... https://www.reddit.com/r/gifs/comments/412v18/blowing_up_a_boulder/ Yeah, blowing up a boulder on 50 made it onto Reddit.
Looks like this is the story: http://www.kcra.com/news/local-news...-car-crashes-into-elk-grove-building/37694266 Always interesting when crazy things happen in your neighborhood.
Get your Sacramento PRO Rugby team gear here: http://champ-sys.com/retail/cs-collection/pro-rugby-apparel/sacramento-collection Season kicks-off(?) at Bonney Field 4/17 against our hated, I-80 rivals, the San Francisco Whatstheirnames. Who here is up on the Sacramento rugby scene?
Very cool. I know little about rugby (the 2014 USA vs Canada match was the first and only rugby game I've been to), but I find it very appealing. Reminds me of what American football used to be, without all of the pads and hard helmets, a lot more athleticism and stamina involved. These guys are real athletes. I'll try to make some Sacramento games this year, I hope the sport and our team does well!
You know you're getting old when... I was booking travel for work yesterday. We have to use our personal credit card to hold hotel reservations. The admin asked for card number and when I began to recite it to her, she voiced surprised that I had it memorized. I told her, "points." The reality is that I know the number because I've had the same credit card for, gulp... 31 years. Dang. It was kind of a depressing moment, actually. My car's odometer topped 300,000 this week, too. But I share that just to brag.
I'm just shocked you haven't had a security breach in all those years that forced you to change the card number.
It looks like the Maloof's are getting their NHL expansion team in Vegas: http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/16203078/nhl-settles-las-vegas-quebec-city-expansion The above article only references Foley, but the official website mentions the Maloofs, and their astounding achievements as NBA owners, as the other ownership interest. https://www.vegaswantshockey.com/Our-Story/Our-Team
I actually kinda feel sorry for Las Vegas right now. If the Maloofs are involved, that pretty much guarantees that the NHL team will reinforce the narrative about Las Vegas being a bad sports town.
If Foley is the lead investor, perhaps they won't do much damage as long as they're not managing partners or something. Regardless, LV seems an odd choice to place a franchise. I put the over/under on franchise relocation at 6 years.
Maloofs were told they could invest their money, bring their shitty vodka to the parties, but not allowed to touch anything team related.
This is kind of remarkable... Every pro league's record holder for season wins has failed to win the title
Nothing is hard to believe any longer. I think we'll wake up tomorrow morning and find this is a national story. A protest leader talks about "militant tactics" & "self-defense" to shut down "Nazi recruitment rally" @ABC10 pic.twitter.com/fpIcIKrz1X— Frances Wang (@FrancesWangTV) June 26, 2016
