This was the u15 group that attended the camp in October. There were players selected for Turkey who were already in and didn't need to attend this camp. From Forest's point of view ; there were 3 in the initial England camp. Appiah in for Turkey & it looks like Johnson (bottom row,3 from the left would have been in). Dekel is u14 and I think while he has loads of ability I reckon there is no need to rush him. Think his time will come. Appiah has played for our 18s already and they like him in the hole but I think Dekel is best there so often Appiah can play wide in our u16s where his ease of running and going either side of a defender is best used. While Johnson is a midfielder with good set-piece taking ability and good passing range and keeps possession nicely ticking over. We pretty excited by this group. I would say these 3 plus the captain Riley Harbottle (who played for our u18s in pre-season + our 17s games) who is the centre-back but is 2000 born have a really good chance with Forest if they keep progressing how they are. Johnson is son of the former Man Utd, Ipswich and Forest forward David Johnson. He is the Chelsea scout for Forest. Obvious links with Lascelles and Bamford in the past and I am just glad our recent crop have gone untouched and signed long term contracts and are around our first team. One of them being Tyler Walker and I'm sure David Johnson is involved in getting the younger brother Lewis Walker a trial with Chelsea.
Currently in for Turkey Harry Seaden - Southend Luca Ashby-Hammond - Fulham Tareq Shihab - Brighton Danny Cashman - Brighton Paris Maghoma - Tottenham Mason Greenwood - Manchester United Bobby Duncan - Manchester City Trae Coyle - Arsenal Arvin Appiah - Nottm Forest Ray Tulloch - West Brom

First camps - 2nd group Remainder ? Bali Mumba (Sunderland)? Bobby Duncan (Man City) Ellis Simms (Man City) Trae Coyle (Arsenal) Ben Cotterill (Arsenal) Adam Cameron (Newcastle)?
FYI looking at the picture, bottom row. The blonde kid on the right of the smiling kid in the middle is Harvey White, and on the left of the kid in the middle is Jamie Bowden. Paris is 3 from the left on the back row, doing that thing with his lips. Do you know how they split the two camps btw. I believe last year it was by birthday i.e. pre/post september. Not sure about this as, Bowden and Maghoma are u15s whereas White is an u14 I think
Goals were from Luis Longstaff, Rayhaan Tulloch and Trae Coyle. Okonkwo, Crowe, Mumba, Dixon-Bonner, Alese, Longstaff, Simmonds, Anjorin, Greenwood, Tulloch, Coyle
Micciche looking after the u15s too from the pictures. Also other players involved Duncan, Ashby-Hammond, McGuiness,
Liverpool took him from Newcastle; Newcastle also have Sean and Matthew Longstaff, I presume they're all related.
Starting XI Alese, Coyle, Tulloch, Okonkwo, Anjorin, Dixon-Bonner, Crowe, Simmonds, Mumba, Greenwood, Longstaff During the Pen Shoot-out 14, Appiah, Coyle, Duncan, Mumba, Cashman, Crowe, 5, Alese , (8) Maghoma*, Ashby-Hammond** * Must have been the 10th outfield player taking a penalty ** Our Pen shoot-out keeper
I wondered if he was related. I always wonder about lads who don't attend their local academy and have to travel to a more distant one - particularly the younger ones (and all the travelling time).
So basically the squad in full. 1. Luca Ashby-Hammond (Fulham) 2. Dylan Crowe (Ipswich) 3. Bali Mumba (Sunderland) 4. Elijah Dixon-Bonner (Liverpool) 5. Mark McGuiness (Arsenal) 6. Ajibola Alese (West Ham) 7. Louis Longstaff (Liverpool) 8. Paris Maghoma (Tottenham) 9. Bobby Duncan (Manchester City) 10. 11. Keyendrah Simmonds (Manchester City) 12. 13. Arthur Okonkwo (Arsenal) 14. Nathaniel Ogbeta (Manchester City) 15. Faustino Anjorin (Chelsea) 16. Danny Cashman (Brighton) 17. Arvin Appiah (Nottm Forest) 18. Mason Greenwood (Manchester United) 19. Rayhaan Tulloch (West Bromwich) 20. Trae Coyle (Arsenal) So the number 10, 12 & possibly 21 shirt could be for other players not involved in the first game. I am sure Southend GK Harry Seaden was in & Tareiq Shihab of Brighton. Plus I see Brennan Johnson for Forest is with the squad and got the full kit even though he got that bad injury. Quite a few of them are following Dejarhn Grant recently who was in the earlier squads from QPR. The 15s lost the 2nd game today 3-4 so goals galore in both games.
Maghoma, Coyle and Duncan scored today, starting team was: Ashby-Hammond, Crowe, McGuinness, Alese (c), Maghoma, Duncan, Glatzel (10), Shihab (12), Ogbeta, Cashman, Appiah,
I count 3 from City ? 1 each for Spurs and Chelsea this time though. Liverpool & Arsenal with 3 each as well.
