He used to wear the UX 1 with velocita sole plate so I'm assuming he's doing the same again like serginhobertholi suggested
The only thing that surprises me about the choice to wear a white model is that adidas hasn't put him in the white/black for the sake of branding visibility, we know they have more laying around or could whip up a pair if needed. It looked like he had a pair on in that Insta pic that was floating around a few weeks ago. My other curiosity here is did he get retail lasting or MTM? If I recall he was down to the 1/4 size in his boots. I read that an adidas guy said Becks was very, very demanding about his boots being "off" when they were not being MTM in the 1/4 sizes in his early career - that might have applied to the Preds only though. He wore the Copa and World Cup before he was big time with little fuss...probably went 1/2 a size down and stretched them out.
I wonder if it's nostalgia and buying off the shelf maybe (in essence, by wearing non custom boots) brought him back to his 'younger days'. I do remember him using the accelerator insoles (which I LOVED by the way) in all of his boots until probably now, though.
Not only that but he stopped wearing leather boots whilst playing because of animal cruelty (at least what was told to the public)
I'm more in shock on that "carpet" they're playing on. I really hope that the University of Miami has better turf fields than those.
That is what VIVA told the public...I don't recall him ever actually coming out and saying that was his reason. He stopped wearing leather because he could play in just about anything and adidas wanted to sell plastic at a higher margin. That is probably a rec facility.
That's what I was getting at, you can tell with some of his non leather boots that they were leather. I just meant the whole thing with adidas making him non leather boots
I have posted in the adidas thread but looks like Becks is wearing the Aces for today's charity game at Old Trafford. appleCORR
Would have thought Owen would be in the Speciali Eternal Still pains me to see Giggs in adidas Brooklyn in Primeknit Sambas... Probably the best boot spot of this match
Giggs in Adidas certainly doesn't look right ... I love how Scholes had dug out his old Lasers. appleCORR
I'm surprised Donovan wasn't in his CTR360. He refused to abandon those at the end of his career, even after Nike moved onto the Magista.
