Let's just say that the 2016 versions I've seen so far look to be a drastic improvement. I for one am excited about next year.

not sure if this is just me or what but I'm having issues with sizing with Adidas latest lineup. Actually, it started with the last f50. If I go with my usual 9.5, they are long in front but fit perfectly in the middle. If I go 9, they fit perfectly at the toe area but the middle is too tight. Did not have this issue with any other previous Adidas models.
The leather ACE size 9 was good but tight in the middle but think it might stretch a bit.
    Anyone had this issue?

Leather version will certainly give - so if they are a little tight I wouldn't worry. It's not like the synthetic version with all the plastic that holds the shape together.

They feel great all over the foot other than the high cut heel... contemplating cutting an inch off the top of the heel (and hope they dont fall to bits :) )

I was thinking about cutting my heel out all together but thats the ankle padding so not sure how that would work out.

For those of you who were wondering - Brooklyn Beckham posted this picture on Instagram. Not sure what Becks has on his feet? 11 pro? I've seen the picture in colour too and they are white with black stripes.

Would put this in the apparel section--but it's pretty dead.

What's a good 'adidas' short that's 'shorter' like more old school? My tastes have been going more 'retro' lately, and i want something length wise that is more in tune with that.

    Anyone have any tips?

Man some of these kids these days might as well be wearing basketball shorts on the pitch. I have no idea how they play in those. Are we talking like 90s short or like 80s short?

There's no footie shorts that run a tad bit shorter? lol

I mean it doesn't have to be THAT short....but looking for input on a pair to buy that maybe mid thigh or a little bit below it--not to my knee.

    Suggestions por favor! :)

90s would be OK. I have some diadoras from when I was younger that fit perfect...wish they were in the same length as those.

those platinum X15 look raw as F78CK. funny how every couples years a company will re hash an old popular CW and itll come out really good.

JUst wondering: whos winning the footwear battle with the youth players? I know a lot more pros wear puma nowadays and honestly if i still played as much i probably wouldve tried pumas by now. But what gets worn the most. I would think its still nike since adidas kinda fell of after those adizeros they came out with around 2010

This is purely anecdotal, but it seems to me like Nike are slaughtering Adidas. They have much more appeal because of how their boots look and their advertisements. Also, I think the Nike Academy has a pretty large impact on youth. Adidas doesn't have that nostalgia affect that they used to.

saw some stats on twitter the other day saying that 53.9% of PL players this season wear Nike. Adidas X15, the most popular boot.
I did a count of NFL kickers and all but 2 wear Nike soccer cleats. No Adidas.
From talking to few store managers in my area, it seems that Nike is dominating the market.

From my conversations with friends, seems like Adidas has a spot among those who've tried out the older predator models, up until just before the X's came out.

the generations after seem to prefer Nike.

One of my friends is a shoe designer at Puma and was telling me how Nike just kill everyone else in the footwear market. He was also mentioning how they're marketing budget is just insane.

I still can't believe Nike successfully pulled off marketing a boot specifically designed for passing. Masters of marketing indeed.

Adidas doesn't seem to be nearly as good at dictating the market anymore. Feels like the last new thing they did was the idea for an "energy" boot, and that was forgotten almost as soon as it was released.

Nike is still selling like crazy but my store we have been selling a lot of the X. The Black ones were gone in about two weeks and the platinum ones and the white ones have been selling like crazy.

to be fair though, it wasn't so much passing as it was 'Control', and on the CTR 1's, you really did feel the dampening effect of the gel pads. . .

the whole nitrocharge and retaining energy bit part though, that would have been interesting to see if they were able to make it stick more with better marketing.
