What a difference Cazares and Fidel made through the middle. Crazy! So much more creative and dangerous. Not just the flanks but through the middle and shots from far. Can you guys believe we came out with 6 points!!!! Huge! I honestly thought we had a greater chance of only getting 0 points than 6. What a pleasant surprise!

A quick round up of both qualifying games vs Argentina and Bolivia
-Ecuador have defeated Argentina in Argentina for the first time in history
-Ecuador have secured 6/6 points in the first 2 qualifying games for the first time since 1998 qualifiers
-Ecuador is the fastest team to scored 2 goals on Argentina (86 seconds)
-Both game winning goals were assisted by subs (Castillo vs Argentina, and Cazares vs Bolivia)
-Ecuador have scored 2 goals in each game after the 80th minute mark
-Erazo, Caicedo (x2) and Bolanos combine for our 4 goals
-Castillo, Valencia, Cazares combine for 3 assists
-Ecuador are now on a 4 game winning streak
-Ecuador have won their first away points since September of 2009

Thats a must win for us we need every single point at home, if we draw with Uruguay we need to win in Venezuela. The question is who will Quinteros bench for Enner if hes back.

I think Quinteros would want to experiment more with Enner and Bolanos up front and would be a better duo but that really depends on when he comes back and the form he is in

he might have to fight with Caicedo at first to get his spot back I think it would be near impossible for Quinteros not to start Bolanos if he is healthy

For better or worse Quinteros will not move Bolaños from the starting 11, Quinteros will now have to make some choices against Uruguay, does Cazares deserve a starting role? Should Caicedo sit? He has scored 2 goals. Pedro Quiñones inexperience might cost us against Uruguay.

Pedro Quinonez was the only disappointment. It's like he was TRYING to screw the team. That tackle was a red card anywhere in the world. Then the handball which looked like it was inside the 18.

You need discipline to play at this level.

I would be interesting if Quintero moved Valencia to RB put Bolanos at RW to make space for Caicedo which is actually a great line up.
Dominguez; Valencia, Achilier, Erazo, Ayovi; Bolanos, Cazares, Noboa, Montero; Caicedo y Enner

Theres no reason we cant beat Uruguay at home they will have Cavani back but we are the first in form team they will face. Bolivia were missing key players and Colombia is in bad form. Uruguay will be missing Suarez, their coach, and possibly Caceres. We will possibly be getting Enner back.

My worry is that we have trouble scoring goals early, we've scored them within the last 10 minutes and they assists came from subs who came on for Quinonez. Thats extremely worrying i mean subs are there to change the game but we should be scoring without them coming on. I hope Quinteros realizes this and starts Cazares.

Overall Ecuador played amazing in these 2 games. Goalkeeping has been phenomenal Dominguez is just beast. Defensively we have done a good job we've made mistakes but they hustle to correct them there is obviously still room for improvement. The midfield has done amazing generating chances and helping out defensively, a few players still need to be more effective (cough Montero cough) but they have done exactly what is expected of them. Forwards could be better despite coming clutch they need to be more clinical, Bolanos has trouble finishing while Caicedo with his touch and positioning (hes offside a lot) . Quinteros has done well tactically and strategically i was going to say he needs to be more vocal but then i remembered he can't walk. I will say this, once we have Enner back and work out a definitive line-up we will be playing high quality football. It crazy to see Quinteros first game compared to these games, the difference is actually huge.

Valencia is not a RB....but he's been able to keep Alexis Sanchez quiet and the guy has been on fire. Btw, Montero has been good, we just don't have anybody to get to his crosses.

    Quinones needs to gtfo.
