one thing I'm curious about is what music you guys listen to. I'm mostly into rap but I'm open to suggestions and I do like my fair share of rock and Latin music. like I said I'm curious about what's in your CD player or whatever devise you listen to. @Catracho_Azul gave me a really good suggestion with Rob banks last year
LMAO You listen to Robb Bank$??? AHAHAHAHA THATS CRAZYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't even remember suggesting it. Wild.
I'll admit I sadly listen to a ton of migos and rich homie quan. For some reason I could see you listening to classic rock lol
Albums: Kendrick's To Pimp a Butterfly, Earl Sweatshirt's I don't like shit..., Vince Staples Summertime '06, Travis Scott's The Rodeo, Lupe's Tetsuo and Youth, The Compton Album, Action Bronson's Mr. Wonderful, etc. With so many good albums this year I've hardly dipped into mixtapes and I don't think theres a lot out right now. I guess since u listen to Migos and Quan (lol), You should probably go ahead and look for that "Its a Great Time To Be Alive" Future + Drake album.
Man look, I love all kinds of music, I have a digital vynl player. Rage Against The Machine, The Pixies, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols, I have some old records breh lol, Some Bob Dylan and Joan Baez.
I've really been starting to like Future. I heard that Vince Staples last week, great suggestion there. I'll have to check those out, especially that Lupe and Bronson. You ever hear of Mick Jenkins? His concept mixtape the Waters is fire. Are you a 2 chainz guy? Also do people in Louisiana like Jay Electronica? In ny he is looked at as a folklore legend haha.
Yea, I love Mick Jenkins, Water was FIRE!! damn, Lawson hip hahahahaha. Naw, I'm not really a 2chainz guy, lol and yes people in New Orleans especially, adore Jay Electronica. He's performed here so man times and has so much love for his home, we're all waiting for his album to drop(never). Some newer artists I been fvckin with are dudes like, GoldLink, Denzel Curry, you see I'm an R&B guy so I'm desperately waiting for that Bryson Tiller's Trap Soul album. ELHAE another singer/rapper is dope, and so is Tory Lanez. BJ The Chicago Kid is a dope dope dope soul musician, signed to New Mo-Town.
Thanks for that Trap Soul suggestion I need some R&B in my life. I just never get exposed to it anymore. I heard GoldLink was fire...
Yea GoldLink has an interesting flow, but his songs hit. The production is pretty good considering he's worked with Kaytranada and Sango.
fire.. Always nice to have some change ups the loso, red cafe and Jadakiss tracks are becoming boring.
Lol yes. Loso's There is no competition 2 may be the best mixtape I've ever heard. All be it they are all becoming boring. Max b used to be my fav until he got arrested.
My music tastes varies, I guess being raised by my Grandmother, Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, Motown and disco was always playing!! But Tupac is and will always be a favorite of mine!! And every April 2nd I always play Marvin Gaye all day and so weird that Michael Jackson and my father both died on the same date...June 25th!! And anything Bruno Mars play to me is good
So I got these new monitors to place around my house and I've been on nothing but a New Orleans kick since I've gotten them. Idk why but I'm feelin buku prideful of my city recently and with it comes a lot of New Orleans classics. Here's my playlist for the month of November: RIP Soulja Slim.
