one thing I'm curious about is what music you guys listen to. I'm mostly into rap but I'm open to suggestions and I do like my fair share of rock and Latin music. like I said I'm curious about what's in your CD player or whatever devise you listen to. @Catracho_Azul gave me a really good suggestion with Rob banks last year

Albums: Kendrick's To Pimp a Butterfly, Earl Sweatshirt's I don't like shit..., Vince Staples Summertime '06, Travis Scott's The Rodeo, Lupe's Tetsuo and Youth, The Compton Album, Action Bronson's Mr. Wonderful, etc.

With so many good albums this year I've hardly dipped into mixtapes and I don't think theres a lot out right now. I guess since u listen to Migos and Quan (lol), You should probably go ahead and look for that "Its a Great Time To Be Alive" Future + Drake album.

I've really been starting to like Future. I heard that Vince Staples last week, great suggestion there. I'll have to check those out, especially that Lupe and Bronson. You ever hear of Mick Jenkins? His concept mixtape the Waters is fire. Are you a 2 chainz guy? Also do people in Louisiana like Jay Electronica? In ny he is looked at as a folklore legend haha.

Yea, I love Mick Jenkins, Water was FIRE!! damn, Lawson hip hahahahaha. Naw, I'm not really a 2chainz guy, lol and yes people in New Orleans especially, adore Jay Electronica. He's performed here so man times and has so much love for his home, we're all waiting for his album to drop(never).

Some newer artists I been fvckin with are dudes like, GoldLink, Denzel Curry, you see I'm an R&B guy so I'm desperately waiting for that Bryson Tiller's Trap Soul album. ELHAE another singer/rapper is dope, and so is Tory Lanez. BJ The Chicago Kid is a dope dope dope soul musician, signed to New Mo-Town.

Yea GoldLink has an interesting flow, but his songs hit. The production is pretty good considering he's worked with Kaytranada and Sango.

My music tastes varies, I guess being raised by my Grandmother, Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, Motown and disco was always playing!! But Tupac is and will always be a favorite of mine!!

And every April 2nd I always play Marvin Gaye all day and so weird that Michael Jackson and my father both died on the same date...June 25th!!

And anything Bruno Mars play to me is good

So I got these new monitors to place around my house and I've been on nothing but a New Orleans kick since I've gotten them. Idk why but I'm feelin buku prideful of my city recently and with it comes a lot of New Orleans classics. Here's my playlist for the month of November:

RIP Soulja Slim. Realest rapper ever to come out of the NO(3rd Ward), especially during the era when NO was dubbed the Murda Capital. Gone too soon, #PhuckTellyHankton

RIP 5th ward Hotboy, Lil Derrick. Man during this era of New Warleans every rapper was really livin that life. He's Birdman's nephew and was an original Hotboy. Died buku young.

RIP VL Mike. Another real one who got murked in the field. 13th Ward rapper that came up under fellow 13th Ward vet, B.G. Boy was buzzin in the city before he got clapped.

Free B.G.!! Legend in New Orleans! Original Hotboy!! Straight out da 13th!! Mr. Bling Bling!! His son raps now lol, I guess thats his legacy now. Easily one of the realest in the city still outchea.

Juvie da Great!! Another original Hotboy!! Straight out da NOLIA Projects!! Today marks the 30 year anniversary of his Platinum(might be double platinum) selling album, 400 degrees. Legend.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM2XPUZTawM

a GOAT Lil Wayne. Another original hotboy straight from the 17th Hollygrove!. This was the first Lil Wayne song I ever really heard. This came from the Carter 1 a platinum selling album and a classic album and was the beginning of his prime run with Carter 2 double platinum selling, The Suffix, Dedication 1 and 2 and Carter 3. Crazy, I feel old now man lmao.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAzbnA_mZas

No Limit souljas!! LMAO Silkk The Shocker was sooooo badddddd!!! He was the original trash rapper, but I mean Charge it to the Game went DOUBLE Platinum!! lmao and it was a classic album, plus he smashed Mya, so he a legend in my book.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZEjKf4gBJw

Classic LMAO. Master P.. the pinnacle era of NO rap. No Limit! Damn, when No Limit and HotBoys ran hip-hop for a solid three-five years. What a time to be alive. dead
