B. Lev. is my favorite men's Bundesliga team. Seems like their women's section has long been rather ho hum.
Well, they played Buli but acted more like a farm team for others this is slowly changing. Apart from that does Leverkusen not have that kind of fan culture or history to draw better players.

here is a replay of the Frankfurt vs Hoffenheim game from this last weekend. If you like good hard tackling & battling out for the midfield, but no so much goal scoring chances, then this is the game for you! After winning the CL, Frankfurt can rightfully boast itself as the best team in Europe. But not sure if this lineup they got can do it. They've lost since last year, Vero, Fishlock, Sasic & Bianca Schmidt. And right now, Maro, Bartusiak & ANC are on the injury list(Maro out for a good 6-8 weeks) ...................................................Schulmann(gk) Laudehr.......................Preissen................Kuznik................Hendrich ...............................................S. Schmidt ........Garefrekes...........................Ogimi...................Van Egmond ...................................Linden...................Islacker Schulman, Pressen, Kuznik, Hendrich, Linden & Islaker didn't make Neid's WC squad. You sure could make a case that they should belong though,; at cb, Frankfurt's coach prefers Preissen & Kuznik over Neid's starting choice of Bartusiak. Hendrich could be Germany's quickest player but get's prone to making mistakes. Islacker looks like a good replacement for Sasic. She's got an immensely accurate shot, but not sure if the speed is there. In this game, Ogimi seems wasted as attacking mid/plya maker. Her natural position should be striker of course. Sophie Schmidt had a more attacking role on the Canadian NT. Here she barely get's to move forward. As for Hoffenheim......................Vvery very hard working for a team with no stars or NT's. They give up an early goal, but play the rest of the game pretty much even at midfield. Got a decent fwd in Chojnowski & a battler in mid in Breitner, who does a pretty good job vs FR's star studded lineup. Their back line is well organized as well. Hoffenheim players seem to mostly at the 18-22 year old, and makes you wonder if they are being paid enough to continue playing pro after the college ages are up? and here is the babe of the week, Hoff's, Julia Steinart
Sorry hotjam that I cant answer you with a longer post but these days im a bit in hurry these days so please dont think you wouldnt get a reaction here.... so please keep it up with your great game reports! ;-)
Kristie Mewis has just arrived in to the waiting arms of coach Thomas Worle. Sheyook a13.5 shots for a every goal scored at her former Boston Breakers team. So let's hope she don't score on her first shot for Munich. Otherwise you might have to wait through another agonizing 26 shots before she scores again!
Happy to have had the chance to watch this great match while I was "cleaning" the study. What a goal by Abbe. Looking forward to more opportunities to dial in to the league.
Here's the replay of the Wolfsburg / Bayern Munich matchup GAME REVIEW (spoilers)............ evenly matched game but Bayern Munich scores on a a looping header that Schulte should of had time to block it. Meanwhile BM's defense is a maze to behold, almost impregnable; Bachmann is considered one of the world's best mids, but in this game, her penetration wasn't worth a damn, as BM had a tight fist on any attacking player as well as keeping the wings locked up as well But you got to why Wolfsburg decided to go with Simic(and later, Wuellart) at the lone striker spot? Both are fun to watch but neither are good with headers. Meanwhile Pop)excellent with headers)p is kept mainly on the outside. Meanwhile you got to wonder if BM is using Miedema too much as the lone target person? She's yet to score in league play and you got to wonder if they can't give other forwards like Beckman or Stengel more of a chance to prove themselves. Leupolz got switched to fwd(from DM) and looked by far more dangerous than Miedema ever did/ btw..........England vs Germany friendly on Nov 26th, has just been announced
Any livestream for Frankfurt vs Turbine Potsdam ? Is the game broadcasted on Eurosport ? I found this http://livetv.sx/de/eventinfo/342348_frankfurt_turbine_potsdam/ if it works for anyone please let me know. If you have another livestream post it please.
how about a replay of the game on youtube......... how do Japanese fans feel about Ogimi NOT playing her natural position as striker? This time around she looked like she played on the wings, last game she was at central mid(but then again Coach Collin Bell seems to have a lot of his players out of their regular positions)
4-5. Anything you want in a football game: http://tv.dfb.de/video/highlights-bayer-04-leverkusen-vs-sgs-essen/12132/ Featuring:
Does anyone think that the Volkswagen Eco-diesel's scandal could possibly affect Wolfsburg women's football club and VW's investment in it? (Actually not this season, but maybe the next one?)
Nah not at all. And VW is basically sponsoring every football club in Germany nowadays. You have to ask why VW and Audi run football clubs. Why? Because they want to attract for middle management and for that they want to provide entertainment for them and their kids in the grey diaspora that is Wolfsburg or Ingolstadt. Any marketing book will now tell you that you shouldnt save money for "marketing" in this situation and the VW guys know about this.
at this link you can find most highlights & full game replays from the Bundlesiga(only thing is they got to share space with the lower men's division) http://tv.dfb.de/static/neueste=videos/ I watched the full game. Freiburg with adding Selina Wagner, Freiburg could go down as the prettiest team around!(though Wilde was sadly missing)/ In Wolfsburg's case, this is what might happen when you got an over 'stacked' team, you just don't know where to put all the players you got, and several of them played out of their natural positions. Glad to see Lena Petermann do good though(good enough to take over Sasic's starting NT spot?}/ The one star in the making for me though is Sarah Putigam. here she marked Popp out of the game. Last week she was an offensive spark plug for the Austrian NT/ btw.............anybody else think that Isla Fisher should make an exercise video alongside Lauren Sesselmann?
Are these the first clear hints of Potsdam's decline before Schröder even retires? They lose at home 0:2 to Sand and it is already the 3rd loss in 4 games!
