This isn't a good sign for ticket sales for this game.

I imagine it's because they got a big group order that they want to accommodate.

Doesn't seem like it. I'm hearing 25-30k sold so far, and that's it. I had bought 8 tickets for a friend in the 300s, and they also got moved to 133, Row 27.

It seems like the seats that were moved are now available on Stubhub.com for pickup, which to me means it's ticketmaster or ussf trying to auction away tickets to fill up the stadium.

Maybe it's just me, but could the bloom be off the rose by now? In recent years there have been a few high-profile friendlies with Brazil and other teams, and those games were such a logistical nightmare for a lot of folks. Part of the problem with past games is that they used Revs-level staffing for a Patriots-sized event. Maybe some people went last time and it was such a hassle (not to mention the $40 to park) that some people said the hell with it?

That probably has something to do with it. I went to the Brazil/Venezula game in 2010 and it took 3 hours to leave the parking lot, so I haven't gone back to another non-Rev friendly since. I think you have to also put some of the blame on local Brazilians. I'm not sure why they didn't buy more tickets.

Maybe they are tired of being milked, figuring that they's pay anything just to see o selecao?

It's not just you. I had a lot of friends and family who simply didn't want to get home after midnight on a weeknight. The Gold Cup experience was pretty awful in terms of traffic earlier this summer.

Ticket prices were shockingly high. And, coming the day after Labor Day probably wasn't the best scheduling (back to work after long weekend, still unpacking the car, kids going back to school, college kids back to campus, etc.).

I also wonder how much Brazil's poor performance at the most recent World Cup and Copa America had to do with the poor attendance. It seems like over the past five to ten years Brazil could sellout Gillette playing against pretty much anybody. Brazilian fans are obviously pretty spoiled and entitled; maybe they're just not happy watching the current team?

Also, could be lack of star power (apart from Neymar), and the fact that playing the US is almost lose/lose for them. If they lose, its a huge disaster, but if they win, its nothing special since the US gets pretty much zero respect from COMEBOL teams. To be fair, the way the US played, they didn't deserve any respect from Brazil. It felt like there was a lack of buzz for this game.

Whats the deal with Presidents Club tickets? Can you only buy them for the whole season? Has anyone sat there?

Hearing rumors that the final home game vs. Montreal may be a sellout (unless the decide to open some upper-level sections).
