Yeah he was bad news when his predecessor was Anigo, absolutely.

    7 m to spend ? it this a joke ?

And why even bother to approach a highly regard coach in Klopp ? I am sure there will be no any single good managers to even bother and entertain the idea of coming here, the owner and the whole front office of Marseille is a mess and shambles, it's really embarrassing to be a fan of Marseille, selling all their first team players and acting cheap all the way, showing zero ambition for the upcoming season. Its a disgrace Labrune has to go !

It is the budgeted salary for Bielsa and his team, 300k p. month.

To gain a bit of time in order to work seriously on whatever more serious, Sampaoli, Montella, Spalletti...

Since 2007 Marseille has had the following coaches: Gerets, Deschamps, Baup, Bielsa. Don't underestimate the ambition they can have.

Is Gerets available now? Is he done wasting his time in the Middle East? I would not mind him coming back.

Gerets suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in 2013. He can't be a full coach anymore alas. His wish is to be a manager for the Standard.

News today: Sampaoli would be too expensive. :( Both for his transfer fee (15M$) and his wages.

And of top of that, he's not jumping ship on Chile, either.

Jose Anigo, who was coaching a big club in Africa resigned after a series of bad results.

Olympiakos and Marseille are pretty much on the same level these days. Only difference is they have weaker competition in their league.

Aloe, Andonian, and Tuiloma all played for the reserve team yesterday so doesnt look like they will play with the pros much unless there are injuries.

Wow, just when you think they are dead the incredible happens. Lass Diarra looked amazing. Cabella made everyone forget Thauvin after 1 game. The Ocampos goal was superb.

Hopefully we play a whole lot better than today against Guingamp.

Lass, bar the stupid PK he gave away, is class. I'd say he's probably locking down that "6" spot sooner rather than than later. Considering Michel's Madrid's connection, I'd imagine the other DM/CM will be taken by Lucas Silva.

Manquillo showed glimpses of what he can offer these 2 games and it seems like the coach rates him, but today he was poor and was partially responsible for that 1st goal: ditto for Nkoulou, who was poor all match long.

There is a long road ahead and it looks like the coaching staff has its work cut out.

Isla started and went the distance in Chile's 3-2 friendly win over Paraguay: looked to be in good shape, and certainly not short of match fitness. Got an assist: forget if it was the 2nd or 3rd goal.

One our best games so far this season yesterday: specially the 1st half. Too bad we lost but I still feel we can finish top 6.

Diaby is activated. Love to see what he can do. Talent wise on paper this is 2nd best team in the league.

And at his second appearance as a Marseille, he grabbed an assist and a goal for OM to brushed past fourth-tier division Trelissac to book a place in the French Cup quarter-finals.
