US needs all the help their pathetic team can get. Even with home support they still come away with 1 convincing win against Cuba. USA has bribed CONCACAF too much for the tournament to move anywhere.

As a Mexican you are the last person that should be talking about help. Time for an education
    1) http://www.businessofsoccer.com/2015/01/19/gold-cup-attendance-1991-2013-trends-observations/
    2) As I pointed out in another thread
Here are where mexico played its GC games
    Mexico [IMG] 6–0 [IMG] Cuba
Soldier Field, Chicago - Chicago – Over 1.5 million of Mexican ancestry in the Chicago metropolitan area[66] and the fourth largest Mexican community in the USA
    Guatemala [IMG] 0–0 [IMG] Mexico
University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale. Glendale is 10 miles away from Phoenix, essentially a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona – fifth largest Mexican-American population.
Mexico [IMG] 4–4 [IMG] Trinidad and Tobago
Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte as per the Latino post http://www.latinpost.com/articles/4...-hispanic-emerging-markets-in-the-country.htm They made up about 5% of the population in 2010

    Knockout stage were played in
East Rutherford - Come on bro do you need the numbers?!? It is just outside of NYC and in North Jersey. Mexico has played friendlies there ffs.
Atlanta - Mexican 314,351 6.0% higher percentage than Charlotte and this was in 2010
Philadelphia - As of the 2010 census, there were 187,611 Latinos and Hispanics in Philadelphia, constituting over 12 percent of the city's population. 5th largest city in the US and a two hour drive from NYC for a Mexican team to see their team in the final.

All of my stuff is from Wiki so take from it what you will. The GC in the USA maybe not be in Canada's favor or Haiti but you are talking out of your ass to say it doesn't favor Mexico.

Ugh, this is going to be my only post on this matter, since it's already been discussed with you in the other thread. Even though this thread better suited for this particular issue.

Distrito Federal- 20 million + Mexicans
    Guadalajara- 4 million + Mexicans
    Monterrey- 4 million + Mexicans
    Puebla- 2.5 million + Mexicans
    Ect..

This is what a Gold cup , held in Mexico, would look like. A true Home field advantage. Just like how the American population dwarfs the Mexican population in the US, the opposite would happen in Mexico, and to a greater degree. And the same would happen for any other country, if the Cup was to be held there.

Now I noticed you are really stretching some of those numbers. For instance, Mexican-Americans are still American, and alot if them support the USMT to. And another flaw in your argument is that you seem to equate Hispanics as Mexicans which is an enormous error on your part, yes the tri- state area has a large Hispanic population, but I can tell you with 100% certainty, that Mexicans are not the majority (for NYC, and NJ atleast).

Now Mexico does get a lot of support in the US at the moment, probably because futbol isnt mainstream to the majority of Americans, therefore they don't outnumber MNT supporters when they meet( they are starting to outnumber the smaller nations though) But as the sport grows, more and more Americans will flock to games, and give the USMT overwhelming support. When that happens, then what? Mexico and all the other participants are screwed. Or are we supposed to wait until that starts happening before the fans demand parity in hosting? For some reason I feel that to you, fair would be for the US to host the cup indefinitely, as long as the CCAF big shots keep making money, and the USMT keep their advantage.

I made some points here. http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/2015-gold-cup-r.2009718/page-35#post-32681490

That's the thing though. If you compare Mexican population in the US to American Population in Mexico, it would not be fair because of the amount of Mexicans in the US. We are looking at a 50/50 Rose Bowl for the playoff, it wouldn't get near that in Mexico. So as I said before the advantage is not what you purport it to be.

I am marrying a Mexican-American, 1st Gen American, She roots for Mexico. I have not meet a Mexican American in NYC that roots for the US. As of 2011, the Mexican Consulate estimated about 500,000 Mexicans lived in New York City, of whom 35,000 spoke a Mexican indigenous language per wiki. If the MNT chose to play a friendly in the NYC area, that should tell you about how strongly they believe in the size of the Mexican ex-pat community in an area. The four largest cities in America all have a Mexican population ranging 5-25 percent. It is not football is mainstream, it is the benefit of the population community, opportunity and all the good stuff that Americans brag about.

Im not talking about the playoff, Im talking about the Cup. There is a huge difference between a packed pro Mexico crowd in El Azteca then a packed pro Mexico game anywhere in the US. How you cant grasp that is beyond me. And a host has an unfair advantage in all sports, thats the whole point LOL.

    Anecdotal evidence always convinces me./s

I never there wasnt Mexicans in NYC, I said that they're not the only or largest subset of the Hispanic pop. in NYC.

Yes I know Mexicans are a minority and Americans are the majority, thats precisely why the Cup should move.

I dont get your last sentence.

I don't think Mexicans expected the playoff to be one game in Mexico, but one game in each country would have been fair if each country could choose what city to play in.

    Donde siempre
Or if it had to be a single game, then it should be in a neutral venue. I guess for the specific US-Mexico case, it could be argued that California is a "neutral" venue (it is not a very convincing argument, though). But what if the game was US-Jamaica, or US-Panama? Would it still be a single game held somewhere in the US?

I can't imagine anybody defending that as fair with a straight face.

CONCACAF announced that if it was USA-Jamaica it would have been one game at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ near New York City. I might have wanted to go to that game if it happened.

Of Course, the NYC area, really Brooklyn alone has the highest population of West Indians outside of the West Indies so they would want a full crowd there. A neutral venue sounds nice but then will it be a sell out?

Man U guy and in the NYC area, good man. I feel like USSF would have still chosen a place like Houston or something. I really don't get why for WC Qualifiers the USA doesn't pick more hostile areas with as little Mexican or whatever Latin American country's presence as possible. If it was up to me, we would play these games in Iowa, Idaho or Nebraska or something!!

Jamaica-USA would've been great at BMO Field. Over 100,000 Jamaicans in greater TO and they come out in numbers for the Reggae Boyz. Throw in travelling US fans from Buffalo, Detroit etc and you'd have a good atmosphere.

Sadly, not to be the case anyways, at least not with a sold out Rose Bowl as another option...

Yeah, it wasn't ideal. Not to make excuses but the men's national team doesn't get much exposure, especially not with everyone already confused by the Women's World Cup and Pan-Am games going on nearly at the same time. A weeknight game isn't ideal either, but yeah, the CSA dropped the ball on this one by not marketing it enough
