Not sure why the main thread was locked, but here we go!
    Midwest had its semifinals yesterday:

I don't know exactly what happened in the other semifinal... Neither MCFC nor FISC has talked in detail about the result on their respective Facebook or Twitter pages, which is weird as MCFC live-Tweeted the CHI-Empire game, but this is what they've said:

Considering the timestamps, I've guessing that FISC might have simply been a no-show... Which is very upsetting, especially as FISC had retweeted that first tweet, and some others of MCFC's advert tweets. The game was also outright removed from WPSL's schedule page...

After last year went soooo smoothly, (as did the year before IIRC,) I'm kinda surprised how much of a cluster**** this year's playoffs have been.

Alright, according to the WPSL schedule page...

...OKCFC beat Knockville 2-0 in the South region final, earning a spot in the national semifinals (that they are hosting)

...the NE Mutiny beat Yankee Lady FC 2-0, and the Boston Breakers Reserves beat Hersey SC 6-1. East region final is at 3pm today.

...SoCal keeps rolling, having beaten Tottenham 5-0, while Issaquah finally broke through to a regional final in their 4th season, having beaten San Diego 3-1. West region final is at 1pm today.

...Motor City FC hosts the Chicago Red Stars Reserves at 3pm today in the Central region final.

The 2-0 scorelines in favor of Chicago and Boston are final. West region game is still 0-0 at halftime.

The Pac-S streak is STILL alive as SoCal FC defeats Boston 3-0.

Chicago edged hosts OKCFC 3-2 earlier in the night to earn the other spot in the finals.

The Southern Cal team has one Morgan Andrews who as we remember last played for Notre Dame but has a new home at USC.

Andrews isn't much for loyalty. She's played for at least 3 different WPSL teams, including switching from one to another in the same season.

Okay.... remember way back when I had started the original WPSL 2015 thread with an article stating that RSLWomen were planning on competing in WPSL Elite, but we couldn't find any information on WPSLE at all?

Well... this happened. On August 1st. The match is even on the WPSL Schedule page, though there's no score there and no news article about the match.
Does someone want to explain to me what happened, because I still can't find any information on WPSLE?

My impression from talking with someone from a local WPSL team is that the match was a bone thrown to RSL because they were one of the few teams actually interested in participating in the WPSL-Elite.

Ah. X-D Well, that jives with how WPSL is run...
Though, if there were "a few" teams interested in WPSLE, I wonder who aside from RSL was on that list. Apparently San Fran was... Very curious as to who else. I know the Houston Aces were in the past.
