We have so many wings that i really think Pappa should be converted to forward.

I agree with those saying it isn't Sopegno's fault. Pappa was a ********ing disgrace where is the guy who lit it up at the Copa Centroamerica!?!? He spent way to much time dicking around with the ball and trying to be fancy. I think Pescado gave his best. Remember he was the one who called out the match fixers a few years ago. He is committed but time has caught up with him. He's played his heart out for years and hasn't been afraid, let's not forget that.

I think there were some bright spots though Moises Hernadez played his heart out against Mexico and Mejia has such good touch and movement. Enoc Vasquez I think can be out captain in the future he's still young but he plays well. I think Cincotta should play defense clear your midfield isn't good enough so Sopegno tried to fit him I'm there. We could have a great back line in the next couple years.

We need to start calling up new blood and finding better attacking players, Henry Lopez, Marvin Ceballos, Jonathan Topp, ect...

I been saying that for months.......he is individualistic, can score goals, fast , y se las puede arreglar solo.....if he bulks up a little he can be fish's replacement

If I was the coach I would play a 4-2-3-1

I seen a few games from topp and he is really good at linking up with everybody else and has decent speed and can score goals though he's not tall so this long ball we play right now won't benefit him unless we pair him with nacho.....so he's basically a combination of Henry Lopez and gerson lima. ......granted he does this in The nasl and still not on a regular basis...also we don't know if he can translate into international football. ...but he can be an option

Pappa is not a leader ....he never has and he never will be....he is not the type of player you build your team around ....he can be a great asset in the right set up if and only if he's part of the supporting cast but not the main guy

I can see what you mean. It was a bit frustrating to see Campollo be the ball distributor knowing how absolutely clumsy he is. He should have just been receiving balls to strike.

It was killing me that we had so many balls in the box that we kept putting out to the wing. It just allowed Cuba to tighten down their defense.

Exactly it is not that I don't think the players are not responsible because they are .....but I feel like the game plan was wrong......even if we want to play long ball we didn't do it right .......the defenders were sending long ball after long ball to nacho and the only one close to him was fish who ain't fast....Mejia too far as winger and dennis too far and clumsy

That's what I've saying since the game ended........dennis made sense for mexico since we had to defend but with cuba we had to attack and he's too clumsy. .....then he put him as a stopper which he has never played before and the goal originated from his side.....I honestly think sopegno got ahead of himself and try to save lalin for the usa game since he was on a yellow from the Tyt game

Because the only other player he had was Castrillo and he showed everyone how bad his game is. And even if he had gone with Castrillo it would have been just as bad.

Pappa could have played it but he was put in the mid. Figueroa tried, but he's just too old.

Which all goes to show how badly we need new players.

If Sopegno keeps his job (which I hope he does) then I forsee alot of new players getting called up for the next WCQ and Friendlies. I'm chalking the GC as a "best I can do with what I have to work with" mentality. And especially since the majority of the guys had NT experience and from the UNCAF squad.

Pappa and Cincotta both issues apologies on their social media accounts. Which to me shows that they know we're pretty let down.

But our players look like they were not in the game, they had that I don't give a ratsa$$ what happens to the Sele. You know I keep hearing oh Guatemala don't have another Carlos Ruiz he has to continue, to me that's a lot of bs. I heard this Guatemalan commentator said, when someone makes 18 goals in 36 games then they can replace Ruiz. What a close minded individual I thought to myself. No wonder we don't have no forwards, they don't get a chance. Imagine if Costa Rica, Argentina, Mexico and Trinidad thought like that.

I feel like right now it is the psychological aspect.. play some friendlies with a 2nd division, contra la sub 20 y sub 23.. then some from primera division. y unos de la liga mayor. then do Belize, then some contra unos equipos caribenos... porq todas las derrotas an sido goliadas oh amargas and that do some psychological damage. the guatemalan player always suffers from that!!

Make a great point. And now it's time for Sopegno to start making calls to new players.

If you expect a lot of changes you will be massively disappointed. .......there will be league games weekends and mid week besides the concachampions. ......so the squad will most likely remain the same bar a few changes since there is no time to train his "system" .....he even said it in an interview that these past year year and half probo gente. ......I feel the only ones that can realistically make it to the senior team are players from the u23 since they play the same tactics(puro pelotazo from what I heard) and have been training along them

I don't think he'll call the same players, this is what he'll do. He will call nothing but new players and then have those players play in one friendly and if they do well, believe me he will only call 5 or 6 players from the original sele
