Total domination by the Red Stars in NJ. The 0-3 score really flatters Sky Blue who never looked like winning today. When we get our WWC players back, we'll be freaking SCARY.
Chicago fans need to show up in force at benedictine on July 18th to show appreciation for all the WWC players and especially our World Champions. Red Stars plan a welcome back for them: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/soccer/ct-red-stars-world-cup-20150706-story.html
I tend to agree with him. I've been shaking my head at the owners rants on twitter. Being on TV isn't the the be-all end-all to making this work. Will it help? Yes, but it's not everything. Little baby steps of improvement each year and they're on the right track.
Bought 2 tickets for the next game. The fact that they play so far out will keep me from being there all the time though.

That was quite a game! Team held their shape... and what a barrage of shots... could easily have been 4 or 5 goals.
This is a really good team with good chemistry. I'm hoping that finally this is our year. However, Dames has to be careful how he integrates the National Team players with the those that have played all season long. The chemistry must be kept.
Top four in the regular season qualify to the playoffs; semifinals are #4 at #1 and #3 at #2, final hosted by the highest remaining seed.
I hope for the sake of the Red Stars that Dames doesn't just throw the NTers back in. The players that have been there all season have done well, and a bunch of lineup changes right away could be disruptive.
Red Stars GM predicts sell-out for Saturday's game: Alyse LaHue @alahue 1h1 hour ago Looks like our Saturday @chicagoredstars game will be sold out in the next 72 hours. That's a nice feeling. #NWSL
I have secret hope that somehow the renovations of Northwestern stadium lead to relocation of Red Stars from Lisle. That would be a great location, although I can't speak to issues like parking. In trying to learn more about the renovation, I learned that the NU men's and women's soccer teams will be playing 13 home games this fall at Toyota Park... HUH!!! How is this financially possible? http://dailynorthwestern.com/2015/0...s-announce-13-games-toyota-park-2015-seasons/ Maybe they are using some practice fields or something, but that is not what the article says.
Northwestern is a very wealthy University. More on the stadium http://www.nusports.com/news/2015/4...anny_amp_Sharon_Martin_Stadium.aspx?path=msoc
