I'm going to bump this thread in about a years time Two best squads. Belgium have a good squadand have a bit of experience now after the world cup. I like England too, maybe, maybe Portugal and Italy. But I don't think these teams can contend with the French and you guys. Germany will have the best squad again. One year out, my moneys on you guys. Beaten France in 82, 86 and 2014 world cups, you certainly have the wood over them. I think you two nations will split the next two tournaments. In which order, I'm not so sure. But the smart money would have to be on the Germans at this stage. Good luck
If this means we make the final, I'll take that regardless of the outcome. Germany should have one of the best squads and should be one of the favorites. However, as long as the team remains toothless in attack, an early exit is always a possibility... France, England, Belgium and Spain are strong. Italy is always dangerous and while Holland is struggling they are able to knock any team out.
My money is on Germany to win (obviously) but if anybody's going to stop us, it's France. They played a very impressive WM in 2014 and if they keep improving (not to mention that they have a home-field advantage) then the sky's the limit!
The two magicians Thiago and Isco are starting to hit their peak. Morata is coming of age, too. No need to tell you how good Fabregas, Busquets,Silva, Iniesta are. The two CBs Ramos, Pique and the goalkeeper De Gea are world class. Azpilicuetta and Alba are really underrated. Cazorla had a great season at Arsenal. Javi Martinez and Koke..... need I go on ? With the right tactics and team selection, Spain can win it. They are better than France for sure. On paper, Spain are the best team in Europe.
Spain are good, but I don't feel that Del Bosque is the right man to lead the new Spanish generation. France is a better bet at home IMO.
Business as usual in Europe. Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands will be the top sides in the EM. I expect at least 3 names from that list in the Semifinals.
I disagree with how impressive they looked at the WC. Great against Honduras and Switzerland, but underwhelming against Ecuador and Nigeria IMO. Also did not think they played too great against us and Schürrle bottled 2 or 3 excellent chances, which would have really opened up the score.
Yeah I suppose we'll see in a years' time, though it looks like the OP might not be around to bump his thread, as he seems to have been red carded for some reason.
