New Zealand won so Argentina's out. Their performance actually looks even worst than the senior team during Diego and Batista years. The way they played especially against Ghana, it looks like Grondona just assembled this team few hours before kick off.

If this dude still in charge next year, we're pretty much throw away our Olympic ticket.

Does it matter, we've won under 20 world cup after world cup but we still can't win anything at senior level regardless of who the manager is.

I guess the term "fools gold" can be used here. Grondona benefited from playing the easier of the 2 groups in the qualifies, and Cholo's son will never be as good as what he produced in those qualifiers. The tournament basically ended before it started.

I believe Tata will be managing the kids for the Olympics.

It has nothing to do with that, this tournament is for under 20 players so they can show how proof they are at that age. Most player (with exception of Kun) turning pro at 16-19 years old, are you expecting these kids to be included at senior team to proof themselves? no, this is the tournament for them and then Olympic.

If World cup the only thing that matter, every country might careless on winning their respective ocntinental tournament.

I'm not sure if the qualifier can be considered as easy, we beat Brazil and then beat Uruguay in the final . But I agree that Simeone never look like someone who'll turn into superstar. Its like Figueroa circa 2004-2005. Scores 9 goals in 15 matches for Argentina but inside we all know he's nothing more than average.

A disgraceful effort. The excuse about the World Cup and others are all irrelevant. This is a tournament in which we have a proud history. This is a talented squad perhaps not as much as some earlier editions but we are Argentina not some tinpot football outpost.

This was an invaluable chance for the players to learn tournament football and bring home some silverware. But will any lessons be learnt ? The minimum expectation was for a semifinal not to be outperformed by the likes of Fiji or New Zealand.

Every game counts when you wear the famous blue and white stripes. Grondona needs a hammering and swift removal and next time after the Olympics a proper coach in charge. It's a shocking and abysmal result and one not to be treated with any complacency.

Yea our run in Sudamericano its like our run in first 4 matches of World cup 2010. We beat those teams reliying heavily on talent and soon or later you're going to face the real test and your weakness will be exposed. Grondona is no different than Maradona when it comes to managing.
