Tevez played like crap in 2010 qualifier, 2 reds and just one goal! he's the only one who missed when we lost to eventual champ Uruguay in 2011.

I positively love Tevez, unlike a great number here. Gets a lot of blame for bad TEAM play.

there could have been, but id put it down to too many ********wits putting too much power into it. Common sense if you aim high and kick hard, it can happen.

Colombia scored 1 goal in 4 games, pretty much sums it up. Not that we ate setting the world alight in that area either. We have to improve for the semi final, but how lng have we been saying that about this team, it never does though. Messi now has 1 goal in his last 8 Copa games, and that was a penalty. Perhaps he is saving them for the semi and final. :)

Tevez did missed alot of sitters in national team. Everybody does occasionally but Messi , Higuain and Aguero strikes rate for Argentina is still solid one compare to Tevez. Di Maria scored as many goal from midfield.

About the game: I thought Di Maria was horrible again. Pastore was bright, I have no idea why he was subbed. Biglia was not needed this game, I would rather Banega started.

I still have this lingering feeling that Higuain needs to be in there no matter how off form he is.

Di Maria maybe be should play on the right so we can have Lavezzi on left. Lavezzi always look determined and he's giving the Germans a hardtime until he was subbed by injured Kun.

At international level Tevez is Argentina's answer to Emile Heskey.

No I dont hold grudges. He's simply not sharp enough for Argentina. His scores like 13 goals in 70 matches so its not like he hasnt been given enough chance...?

Lavezzi should be our #1 sub, not Tevez. He injects the team immediately with his pace.

But now Tevez could claim that he strucked a winning penalty for his country, something aint happening for Heskey or anyone played for England.

I was only half serious dude haha. But yeah, that's a pretty abysmal strike rate, so I can see whay you guys don't like him that much playing for you guys.

Ok guys get ready to kick Brazil's ass if you even play them next. I wouldn't be surprised to see Paraguay knock them out tomorrow and in fact I'm predicting they will. Regardless who you meet, you will win. Chile have looked awesome and imo have been the best team in this comp and on form they will win the tournament. But I predicted Argentina from the start and I do think you were destined to win this Copa. Come the final, Messi and Kun will lead you to glory.

Good luck for the rest of the tournament and enjoy this time, because this time is yours:thumbsup:

Thanks for the positive words. I just hope we dont have to do it like the 1993 edition where we won twice from shootout and including one against Brazil:cautious:. Although Bati made it count with his two goals when we entered the final

They still have to beat Paraguay.

Lol yea, even we won the World cup, Holland tied Argentina and hit the post at injury time. Germany in 1986 came back from 2 goals behind before Diego-Burruchaga settled the score. My point is, Argentina always needed to win the hardest way possible.

But that country always beat Germany in tournament. Always. Even if they played like crap before and after.

Messi created most clearcut chances in this game and to strucked the first penalty is always crucial.
