I am not sure what you want from the defense. Otamendi and Garay were big. We are a team that attacks, if we played like Uruguay and sit back then our defense would be just as good. It's on the CK's were we lose the ball and get hit on the counters. Need to play the CK's short. I think the defense was fine.

I've been very impressed with Banega and Pastore. I'm happy that they both have reached a point to prove something.

I think soon or later Messi is going to ask Tata to play with 3 forwards. He looks frustated with nobody to link up with . Aguero played as a 9 and was far upfront all the time.

The problem is that, other than aguero, the other forwards arent good for the NT

Pipita used to be great but lately hes bad

Lavezzi should play. He's not goalscorer in national team but played that second string forward role very well. Look what he did to the German in 2014 final, forced them into booking and then squared the ball to the box well.

Midfield and forward line looks disorganized here and obviously Tevez would make it worst.

I just hope Aguero is fine now... I cant imagine Tevez or Pipita leading the forward line at knockout stage! we might need every game to won via shootout !

The CBs were amazing but I meant that the defense in general needed to defend more as a unit. Too many grade B to A chances given up was an indication of poor defending at times. Keeping possession is great, but having the defense scramble once the ball is lost is terrifying aka Brazil 2014

True, especially when the defence let Uruguay to test Romero from distance, they almost scored.

Not really man. As long as he goes with the game plan. But Tevez could Leeroy Jenkim, and it could all go down hill.

Kun has scored 6 goals in 4 matches this season. Any immediate update on his injury?

    Messi post match comment ...

"It was a tough match from their side. They didn't want to play that much," said Messi, who was subjected to a series of cynical fouls throughout.

"They were tough. They were hard on us. But we showed that we can also play that kind of game if we need to.

"Yet we tried to keep playing our game and that's how we found the goal through Kun (Aguero)."

i think pastore was the best on this match, too. Im happy about him being in our team.

Messi is always great, and Kun is scoring, wich is what we need him to do.

Im very happy about kuns form and how is showing in the matches in the form of GOALS. Finally, kun!

di maria was horrible on defense and even worse on offense. He couldnt even curl that shot he had from the side, instead it went straight to the keeper.

Manu ruined him. Put Lavezzi please.

How was Messi MOTM? I didn't think ADM was too bad later on. He needs to find a rhythm. Pastore was good, he is playing as the creator so not every pass will be perfect.

The Jamaicans will have to come out and play. They have an outside chance of finishing 3rd and have a shot of progressing. So, no more sitting back, I hope.

Too bad any team will sit back against us . In world cup only Nigeria played a really open game against Argentina. But both teams already booked next round ticket in that case. Di Maria actually looked better when doing defensive job in latest part of the game. His attacking play was atrocious.

Yes, but unlike any of the teams we faced in the WC or even in this Copa so far, Jamaica has to attack if they want to advance. They'll have to score and eventually win the match if they have any hope for advancing, no other way around it.. Of course their chances of winning are very minimal, but a tie or loss would automatically eliminate them.... so they don't have much of a choice.

Of course there's also the possibility that they've already given up hope and are just settling for leaving the copa without getting embarrassed, in which case they will definitely park the bus.

I smell a solid victory for Argentina. A hard fought victory against team like Uruguay certainly will boost the team confidence.
