Nicely done. Solid base for NASl.

Still gotta replace Minny and Atlanta, but there are definitely clubs to trumpet.

Support in the south started extremely strong, but has waned a bit since.

Both Jacksonville, Carolina, and Tampa Bay were disappointing. Jacksonville had its first sub-8k game, while Carolina followed up a great showing of 7k with an otherwise solid, but far less, 4.8k, and this was the lowest attendance the Rowdies have recorded this season. None of these are bad attendance numbers, just disappointing given the circumstances.

Next week should be a strong week for attendance with the Eleven, United, and Scorpions all hosting. Hopefully the Rowdies will rebound well, and the Cosmos don't disappoint.

Strong finish to the Spring season ending it with a 1,169 average increase from last year.

The Rowdies have fallen off the past two weeks in attendance, hopefully that won't continue in the Fall season.

The Cosmos ended strong, maybe because of Cuba, having that game on ESPN2 certainly couldn't have hurt.

Also all teams except Indy Eleven, Railhawks, and Edmonton improved their attendance.

NASL is getting good numbers this season. 72% of the games so far have been played in front of 5,000 or more.
And ZERO games played in front of 2K or less

I would wager the attendance was based more on the fact this was the first legitimate home game played on other than a holiday since the season opener, AND that it was a trophy clinching game.

    Game 1 - Opening Day - 12,550
    Game 2 - MCU Park - 5,279
    Game 3 - Mother's Day Afternoon - 3,383
    Game 4 - Memorial Day Weekend - 5,032
    Game 5 - Season Finale - 7,353

The game on Wednesday in the USOC is looking to be pretty well attended too, not many tickets left for sale. I would expect around 8-10K for that one.

In our defense, the past two games have been at the same time as Lightning Stanley Cup games.

How many lower level leagues have ever got 1M in attendance? (D2 or D3)? Are we looking at doubling the total in 1 year? Also ... with expansion you'd hope the total keeps improving, but how do they appear to rank on a per game basis historically (Both D2 and D3)?

    Thanks!

I had already read it ... was more asking for total lower level figures, the post only mentioned D2.

Does the attendance from Cosmos count all in attendance or only paid tickets? There were a lot of free tickets that game, the ENY State Cup winners were all given tickets (maybe ENY or LIJSL paid for them, I really don't know nor care tbh). I obviously don't know exactly how many, but probably 30 teams and their parents would be 1,000 plus. I know I attended with a team and my season tickets went unused, yet they were counted as attendance. That being said, it really did look like more than 7,353 people, but I didn't take the time to count them all.

And yesterday's USOC game (about 11,500 attendance) was the best game ever in Shuart stadium, I may not like NYCFC but their fans were awesome!

Unless otherwise specified, it is safe to assume that attendance numbers are tickets distributed and not butts in seats.

I am sure they use distribution numbers like most clubs but they don't seem to engage in the high volume of give away like some other local MLS clubs do. They always count their season ticket holders even if they don't show up, which is why they can announce 3300 on Mothers Day afternoon when maybe half that is actually there. Generally, when buts in seats are above ST numbers i generally find them to be pretty damn close in announced attendance vs turnstile attendance.
