Chile 2.Mexico 3.Ecuador 4.Bolivia
Chile 2-0 Ecuador Mexico 3-0 Bolivia Ecuador 1-0 Bolivia Chile 1-2 Mexico Mexico 3-1 Ecuador Chile 2-0 Bolivia 1. Mexico 9 2. Chile 6 3. Ecuador 3 4. Bolivia 0
Depending on the squad we bring, its hard to make many predictions. But Mexico seems to always draw the host in almost every tournament and if history is anything to say, we usually draw the host. Mexico plays Ecuador in March 28th of this year and we beat them prior to the WC 3-1 Mexico also drew Chile 0-0 in a friendly late last year, pretty even match to be honest. We also played Bolivia last year, forgot about that game - dont know if it was Bolivias full squad but this game started with a lot of fringe players.
Chile 2 vs 1 Ecuador Mexico 2 vs 0 Bolivia Ecuador 3 vs 0 Bolivia Chile 3 vs 1 Mexico Mexico 2 vs 3 Ecuador Chile 4 vs 1 Bolivia Chile 9pts +6 Ecuador 6pts +3 Mexico 3pts -1 Bolivia 0pts -8
For real, I mean we don't have all the stars Chile and Mexico has, but we managed to play decent against them both late last year with our limitations and without some of our best players. No doubt we're the underdogs here but you can't underestimate a team you haven't seen yet. Just as a side note, for the past 3 Copa America Bolivia was in the host's group and we tied all 3 games against the hosts (Peru 04', Venezuela 07', Argentina 11')
It is true that Bolivia can surprise teams. But they are sooooo inconsistent that they can also lose to teams they should not be losing to. Like when they lost to Costa rica. A tico team that was mostly U-23 players and domestic League new guys.
Chile always struggles against Mexico, played like crap recently against Bolivia in a friendly, and considering a serious lack of height/physical presence, can be reasonably outmatched by Ecuador.
Especially after this new: http://www.espnfc.com/copa-america/...onio-valencia-could-miss-copa-america-surgery
Ecuador is down two key players for Copa America now, Antonio Valencia and Felipe Caicedo. Also, Enner Valencia was injured for a good while recently, Idk about his current status.
This is a blow to Ecuador who normally does not play well in the Cops America tourments and you factor in a new coach and a different style play its tough to say if they move on to the next round
For those of you interested in getting a sneak peak at Mexico's Copa america squad... ...tonight they play against Guatemala on Univision 6PM EST.
Ok everyone, I have looked at the full 2015 Copa America squads and will make my final pre-prediction before the tournament starts. 1. Chile: They will top the group. They have great players such as Isla, Medel, Mena, Vidal, Vargas, Sanchez, and many more. They surprised in the world cup, and will probably do amazing in this tournament. Plus they have home advantage. 2. Mexico: Mexico should manage second place, but I looked at the squads and it is a huge disaster for Mexico compared to what they had at the world cup. No Dos Santos, No Hernandez, No Ochoa, and many other key players that performed well at the world cup will me missing. In fact the only real key player they will have this tournament is Marquez the defender. However I think they still should manage 2nd place especially with Ecuador losing key players as well. 3. Ecuador: As I just said their best two players Valencia, and Caicedo will not be there. They have three players I haven't even heard of ever before. Also the bolivian coach doesn't strike me as a very good one, so I don't expect much out of Ecuador. They will be a little lucky if they even get third place. 4. Bolivia: I am not very familiar with the players they have, but I don't think Bolivia will do to well considering they were horrible in world cup qualification a couple of years ago. They might get third if they are lucky, but I have the feeling Ecuador will be able to scrape a win against Bolivia. TOURNAMENT WINNER: Argentina of course, they have all key players that played last world cup, plus they now have Pereyra and Prime Tevez who will even cause more damage.
What if... I were to tell you that Quinteros is actually from Argentina *Gasp*... and has gotten Emelec to the top after sometime. Would that change your opinion?
