Dykstra brews his own (see Goff: Soccer Insider). Shouldn't the dc united beer thread people give him an award, or something?

The wine apps I've seen are scattershot at best. Unlike beer, which is pretty easy to decipher, a wine label is complex. Several people might identify the same wine differently. Picture-taking apps help identify the label, but reviews/scores/opinions can be for different vintages. I'm not convinced that people are using the apps correctly.

    Thx,

    Jay!

So no Tradition this year because of the Heineken deal? :/

What's the Heiniken deal? Is that why we don't have Corona or Modelo?

Yes. Heineken signed a 5-year deal to be the official beer of MLS, then brought many MLS teams on board.

    http://heinekenusa.com/press-releases/seven-major-league-soccer-clubs-join-heineken-roster/

Heineken-owned Tecate (in 24 oz cans) and Dos Equis (at Beers of the World stands) have taken over for AB InBev-owned Modelo and Corona as Mexican beers in the stadium.

Has anyone done a concessions map of RFk to see what is available where?

    Thx,

    Jay!

    That map is depressing.

Other than the pupusa stands, I was encouraged to see they have a Peruvian Chicken and Taste of the Caribbean stand now. :)

The beer looks meh, and the wine is non-existant.

I only really trust the pupusa stand. I'm wary of everything else!

It would be nice if they had at least one local beer.

I saw they have a Latin stand. I've never tried ancient Roman food. I wonder what it's like?

A friend tried the yuca fries and got sick. So there's that.

I spoke with someone very ITK that said The Tradition should still be at RFK. He was kind of surprised about the Heineken deal, though.

Maybe the FO forgot to include their own brew on the list of things to be at RFK.

    Thx,

    Jay!

I saw on the list they had plantains in one concession and got excited for a second before I remembered they're in RFK and I'll be too afraid to try them anyway

Just remember, any stadium food you are eating is food that has been rejected by the raccoons.

Hmm. Can anyone confirm if they had any for sale in the Stadium Club or by the food trucks in Lot 8?

While this is generally true - especially of the grey hotdogs  - I've found the pupusa stands to be of a very good quality. Can anyone speak to the quality (one way or the other) of the Peruvian Chicken stand?

Also, am I right inferring that the fried yucca was from one of the Caribbean stands? If so, I will avoid them. (We normally tailgate, and don't eat in the stadium, but sometimes you just can't avoid it.)

Yeah, I believe it came from the Caribbean stand.

I agree that the pupusa stand is quite good. That's the only place I'll eat inside.

Any chance we see Lagunitas at RFK because of their partial ownership?
