The 2015 US Open Cup is just starting, and MLS clubs don't start until the 4th Round. But that's mid-June, with the 5th Round at the end of June

    Fourth Round
    • Number of Games: 16
    • Date: June 16-17
    • Participants: Winners from 15 Third Round games are joined by 17 MLS clubs.

    Fifth Round

    • Number of Games: 8
    • Date: June 30-July 1
    • Fourth Round winners face each other as determined by the Fifth Round Draw.

    Quarterfinals

    • Date: July 21-22

    Semifinals

    • Date: Aug. 11-12

    Final

    • Date: Sept. 29 or 30

I don't see Ben throwing out critical starters for the games in June. Both of those are mid-week games and make the whole May/June schedule even more congested than it already is

But by the time Quarter- and Semi-Finals roll around, we might still be in the tourney and the stakes start to become higher, and more rewarding (as in the 2016 CCL league).

And factoring in the 4 extra CCL league games that will be anytime from mid-August thru mid-October.

The biggest potential conflict I see is in mid-August. We already have the following MLS games:

    Sat, Aug 08 @ Montreal
    Thr, Aug 13 @ NYCFC
Sat, Aug 22 v San Jose

If we're still in the Open Cup, we might be able to get the Semi-Final game shifted. But I think we're going to need the scrubs for that first CCL game in August.

We would have to get that game or the Aug 13 game moved. Probably easier to move an Open Cup game, but we're probably coming up against the CCL games too by that point. We'll be in a pretty congested schedule this year if we go far in the Open Cup. It's kinda too bad it doesn't start earlier in the year for MLS teams. At least bad for us and the other MLS CCL teams.

Ben essentially delegated the USOC to the reserve team last year and I see no reason why he would do otherwise this year. We'll go as far as the bottom half of the roster can take us.

Too bad it's not a weekend. It would be fun to try to sneak away to Tampa or Pittsburgh.

Be my guess as well. I hope we advance a few rounds as several guys could use some minutes.

I'll be in Tampa the saturday before and in Orlando sunday - my hope is that we play in Pittsburgh - I may still be able to manage it...

Pittsburgh just beat Tampa 1-0. We'll be playing Pittsburgh away on June 17.

A friend of mine and I will be also in St Pete, by his mom. We'll go see Tampa-Atlanta on the 13 and then drive to Orlando for the DCU game on the 14. We also fly back on June 15

Sure, sounds good. Did you get tickets through the SE by chance? Wondering how to physically get them. Only option when purchasing was pickup at stadium

Yes I did, you can buy your ticket here at http://sestore.net/products/orlando-city-sc-road-trip-06-14-2015, then if Jimi (the roadtrips coordinatore) will be phisically there, he'll distribute tickets before the game, if not most likely he'll email e-tickets to print. I'm obviously talking about the Orlando game only...

Got it, thanks. I bought SE tickets like a month ago, just curious how to pick up as this is my first road game

I'm going to the June 14 game too. Have you heard anything about pre-game activities for traveling United fans?

I'm afraid we saw the preview of our team for the Open Cup in the game in Portland

To be fair I don't think a time has been established for this game, just a date and opponent.

Could be better if some guys are back healthy. That team could easily win vs. Pittsburgh. It's not a lock by any means, but they could easily do it. Also, I assume we'll see Dykstra. Coria should be likely to start. Maybe Coria in front of Halsti? Will Jalen Robinson be back from the Toulon tournament? If so, he may play. Collin Martin might also be healthy enough by then.

Halsti prob has an international match coming up around this time, might pose a conflict.
