Makes 0 sense. 4/5 made it to the last 16 and Ecuador barely missed it

Fine 1/2 the confederation makes it to the WC maybe do a 3 direct spots and 2 reprechajes.

One V North America who they want to give it to

And one against who we normally play against or Europe.

Imagine Portugal,France v Colombia or Uruguay for the last WC Spot

I mean Letting a Oceania team In makes no sense not adding more asian or NA teams. Even marketing dollars wise NA Countries outside the big 3 are smaller economies + populations. Makes 0 sense

I think If there was a little tournie for all the reprechajes teams to get to the WC would be interesting. Maybe stronger WCs not having tend being used as punching bags

It's just an excuse so they can take our spot away and give it to Concacaf

Losing Grondona has hurt Conmebol. We only have 10 countries Concacaf has over 30.

Conmebol can have a great argument for this sh*t. IF they decide to take the spot because of Boca, then the probably should take one UEFA spot because of what happened 2 months ago in the game between Montenegro & Russia. Idiots!

The game was cancelled & Russia got the 3 points. Seems like the same case of Boca.

In all honesty I don't think the Europeans are to blame. They are just protecting their slots, while CONCACAF / AFC / CAF are on the same boat for extra slots.

I think CONMEBOL shoudl retain their slot, while UEFA should lose 1/2 or a full slot.

No one needs to lose slots for these incidents. It's FIFA with their stupid ideas but it won't happen so I really not worried.

The only reason I would like this is if it makes Uruguay miss the World Cup. You know they are going to probably finish fifth again. :p

    Seriously I hate this.
We all know South America should get 5 at least.

    I actually like Uruguay.

Only South American team I don't like is Ecuador as they suck. Quito just gets them in because teams can't breathe there. It's bullshit, they go to Copa America and are always one of the worst teams. I dont hate them but def not a fan.

I rather see Ecuador in the wc than Uruguay. Not because I don't like Uruguay as a team but I hate their fans .

I just don't like teams that promote dirty play, cheating and other antics.

Thousands of people in Uruguay were actually trying to defend Luis Suarez for biting another player.

Not once, not twice but TREEE TIMES biting another player in his career!

    I mean think about that...

That's what I mean . Some Uruguayans were defending his actions Ina. Thread and claimed that the world are against them and that they are " envidiosos " . Thats Just weird as hell , I told them sure the guy is a world class striker but he's sick in the head ..but they don't understand that and they keep defending his actions and called me a hater and also wrote the classic Uruguayan/ argentine line - "cuantas copas tenes envidioso " lol that's something I can't understand or respect.

If james had kicked his wife or smacked her in the face during the WC and was playing like he was. Colombians would defend him.

Just saying.... Not like Italians aren't dirty players. You defend your star player no matter what.

    I disagree.

I don't defend guys like Guarin or Teo or Cardona when they get red cards for acting stupid. There is no way on God's green earth I would defend players who cheat or intentionally hurt someone as you claim.

Look, Uruguay historically has tried to make futbol more into a war. A Physical match that is less about the beautiful game and technique and more about gamesmanship and brutality.

I just can't stand for that.

Crazy got a point, at least part of a point. I don't know if people would defend him, but people would still love him and rock his jersey. Winning and performing cures everything.

Kobe Bryant was loved despite being accused of rape, Ray Lewis was accused of murder, Suarez was loved and supported by Liverpool and now Barcelona fans, etc. Chris Brown still sells a lot of records despite beating up on Rhianna, people still love drug addict celebrities, people loved the mess that was Michael Jackson, etc. If you perform, especially in sports, people will forgive almost anything.

Now the Uruguayan's defense was childish. At least Liverpool owners realized he was wrong and deserved the suspension, they just supported him regardless.

Of course there will be some crazy factions of fans still supporting players but I think the Colombian media and fans in general would be treating things like a shameful act of horror not something to rally around as a cause for social injustice.

Most of Uruguay was playing the victim card. When Suarez is a criminal not a victim.

That's all an assumption though. We really don't know how the Colombian people would react. All we have to go by is history and history shows us that the Maradonas, Cantonas, Zidanes, Suarezes, Kobe Bryants, Ray Lewises, etc have been loved and supported despite of their flaws or acts. You bet your ass people are standing by Tom Brady in Massachusetts despite the fact that he cheated.

If James beat some woman, we could assume that the Colombian crowd would jump in arms and burn him, but history tells us that as long as you perform, you will be forgiven.
