Must win and our best defender is on the bench, oh well, still think we will win

Juventus only win if their really good midfield is able to boss the game. But I just don't see them doing that in Madrid. RM is going to go all out offense (or so the lineup indicates) and are at home so I think they will end up camped in Juventus' half. And if they are camped in Juventus' half, it'll be hard for Juventus' midfield to wrestle control away. Of course, Juventus will try to counterattack, and Madrid's very offensive lineup is not necessarily well equipped to stop that. So I think it'll be a really entertaining match. It'll probably be more fun if Madrid gets a relatively early goal. At 1-0, both teams have to keep going for it.

LOL at this midfield. Juve are going to overrun this team.

Perhaps, but I consider myself more of a realist. The tactics employed by Perez/Carlo will not work on this Juve team. Just wait, this forum will be in total meltdown with #carlo-out protests in a few hours.

Is Pepe really on the bench? Who's got the right line-up? I'm at work and I can't believe I'll be missing this game.

Please keep up the updates Madridistas!!!

I am hoping for an early goal and for us to run away with the victory before half time even comes! VAMOS!!!

HASTA EL FINAL, VAMOS REAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks amigo... I wonder why this decision, Pepe might not be fit? Well I gotta trust in our future legend, he's proven he can make a difference - Maybe even score a goal? :)

I'm getting really nervous now... Let's do this thing!!!

Any idea why Pepe wouldn't be starting? Does Varane bring something Pepe doesn't, or do you just think Pepe maybe got a knock in practice or something?

It is high time Varane nets a header in an important moment. He always seems close with them, but now it's time to make it happen.

Pepe is on the bench, because Varane is our fastest defender, which will be crucial when Juventus couner. Also he's a bit more dangerous during corners.

I'm worried, but that's natural. Our team can do this... i'm just praying our midfield goes into overdrive for this game. James and Isco need to give this everything!

I'm fine with the defense. Even though overall pepe has been our best defender in this season, he hasn't really played well in the last few matches while varare was excellent. Ramos is always gonna play when he is fit we like it or not.

Can't wait to see the choreo in the Bernabeu!!! Apparently they will unveil a "respect for Iker" banner. Great decision! Clearly he's not what he used to be but he's been IMMENSE for this club for such a long time. He deserves nothing but positive support. In the world of football its about "what can you do for the team now" but still he's a legend who should only be treated with respect

Woot woot getting some nerves now. I can't believe this but when I think about it we've now been in the semis for each of the past 5 seasons. I don't think we'll underestimate them like we did against scheissebayern in 2012. But we can do this I think the lads are ready, this is going to be a cracking match! I expect Juve to bunker and we'll be on the attack for 85 minutes of the match... lace up amigos this is going to be a battle!

No Pepe in the starting XI. Not something I would do if I was Carlo but hey we need to win anyways. He won us la decima, in Carlo I trust! Vamos Real!!!

I don't think Varane is more dangerous on corners at all. Hell, Pepe just scored one this past weekend. The speed angle makes some sense, but really Pepe just had a poor game against Valencia and Varane is rested. We know Ramos must play because he can get that crucial goal.

Man James and Isco are going to be busy. Hopefully the BBC is active and comes help.

No fear. No mercy. Tonight we dine in hell.

I remember countless times Varane has managed to get free from his opponent during corners, but couldn't score (it either went wide or over). Like you said it's about time for one his crucial goals. I consider him to be a bigger threat than Pepe.

    There's no doubt about Ramos.

I disagree, you're pretty much a coward. We've seen those all the time. Act defeated before the match, then celebrate with everybody in case things go well, and if they don't stand above everything with a typical "i knew it" stance.

They'll be done by half time due to overexertion. Since when has BBC defended?
