    Watup guys,

Just wanted to know the people here that are American born with Colombian background?
I hate to say it but the my loyalty for USMNT has grown over the Colombian National team, I mean Colombia used to be my first national team, but after realizing I truly am American, I have to say USMNT comes first....

Just wanted to know how many of you's out there are born here and go for the Colombian national team, and when the Copa America Centenario comes around, if Colombia plays USA who would you go for?

Born and raised in New York, but I've traveled to Colombia almost every year since forever . My first love is the colombian national team from watching it with my grandfather and my father everytime they have played ..usa NT was never popular in my house but as I grew up I started supporting the usa nt..if anything I support both but if I were to support one if they faced each other in a upcoming match I will support Colombia , and I don't think that's being a traitor or whatever .

Ok, my next question is, when u have kids in the future, assuming u marry in the New York, with a another person from another country or even US (latino)...

Will you teach ur son to be USMNT or Colombian NT? Its an honest question, just want to know your response...

Yea, just an honest question, it always intrigued me.. my dad and i used to watch all the colombia games since i was young, even went to a couple of games in colombia, saw the world cups when colombia was in 94/98, but as i grew up, i guess i started realizing that im not originally from there, i mean maybe u, i understand, u go every year. Last time i went was about 5 years ago and before that not as often so, i guess i lost that connection. I still watch colombia tho, my second team, and if they play each other, i will go for US. I kind of realize everything i have now, who i am, how i am, is because i was born and raised here

Well half are from Barranquilla and the other half are from bogota tho I have family in Cali I haven't met haha.

I was born in Barranquilla. I am not really a fan of any colombian club because they are all run so badly. I like who ever is playing in a international cup or is starting promising players.

Kind of hate Junior now. Run by a Rich prick who doesn't want to put money in the team, brings shit players the coach doesn't ask for then has the balls to try to ban a team from a stadium
    He doesn't own

My kids I'll be Colombia fan my Korean fiancé is a Colombia fan and her family are now Colombia fans

U.S. Team doesn't do enough to get fans. I do support the women's team tho and love Alex Morgan :)

U.S. Needs to tone down on the Hispanic hate before I am a fan of the team

I think not going to 02,06,10 cost us a lot of fans

My mom is Italian and if I were to pick a 2nd team it would be that.

I like the U.S. Winning mentality and the fact with 0 good players they always make it out of group stage but I hate Klinsman and his Germany D team bullshit he wants. I liked the team when Bob Bradley was coach

Favorite team in Concacaf but that's the farthest I go with it haha

You liking Junior is funny. It's a painful team to like because it's not like they have no money, a shit coach or roster. Some bad culture has to be in that team because even the best guys go there and turn to shit or crap drunks

My Father is Colombian and I initially learned about the beautiful game from him. Colombia will always have a special place in my heart.

I also root for the USA since I was born here and I like going to the games.

If the USA faces Colombia in the Group stages I will be rooting for an exciting 3-3 draw. :D

If they face each other in a knock out stage I will be happy if either team wins. As long as the winner goes on to win the whole thing. :p

youre like some lost brother of mine? my exact thoughts except i was born and raised in Miami.

i can be as American as apple pie, but with national teams, my allegiances are with Colombia. thats from the heart and no one can f*** with that. doesnt make me any less American. USA is a close second.

my girlfriend is from NY, Italian background, if we have kids no doubt theyll see me rooting for Colombia. my family as well and so it might have a huge influence. if they end up rooting for USA thats ok too. no hard feelings!

edit: also, anytime COL vs USA play, i will root Colombia %100 by default. its bittersweet but it is what it is.

I root for Colombia. You could say that USA is my second team but I don't really care too much if they loose. I probably cared more in the past, still want them to do well though.

15 year in queens. 10 years in Houston. Mother is Chilean, father is Colombian. Grand father is Sicilian, and rest of grand parents Spanish, from basque region. Fiancé is Mexican. I support Colombia even if I'm very "gringo". I enjoy the food, the culture, the accent, the politics, and the league. USA is my second team and ill never disrespected it. Funny enough I'm a huge Cali fan but I also have a heart for the cosmos and Dynamo.

Colombian born, 14 years living in the states but I cant seem to become a fan of the USNT...
I respect them though, but cant seem to find the motivation to cheer for them. (But im kind of creating an interest in either Red Bulls or NYFC)

Atletico Junior comes first than any other team, then Colombia NT.
I always wish the best for Conmebol Clubs/countries and follow clubs that has Colombians players

yep , Colombian born, came to the states at 7 and while only having gone back 3 times in 34 years, I can only root and feel excited for Colombia. I can be somewhat interested in the USMNT but surely not when they play Colombia or in any Conmebol tourneys for that matter. My wife (Canadian), roots for Colombia (although admittedly except for James she knows little of the team) and my 3 kids somehow love rooting against me when we play the US. So I guess that's where they're allegiance falls.
