Peat at 13??? Oh ffs. I guess Brees safety comes first.. This is upsetting. Peat was cheeks this season.
I was expecting Williams, but I'm not too upset. I would have been pissed if we took Kevin White. I'm just wary of high OTs. There have been a ton of busts in the top 5 in the last 5 years or so.
I just wanted a corner so I liked it. I really don't like this draft , the more I see and hear about this years first rounders the more skeptical I get.
We tried but the Titans wouldn't budge . There is a good and bad side to this situation. We didn't get rid of the entire team which is good. But now were stuck with fcking Sam "No Knees" Bradford, Mark Sanchez, and Tim Tebow to lead us. As a Chip believer, I still feel he maybe cooking something up right now and Mariota is an Eagle by Saturday.
Do you have any thoughts on the actual pick? If Chip's successful this season, I tip my hat to him. As far as Mariota goes, I heard Chip offered two 1s plus Fletcher Cox. An interesting trade, but I'm sure the Titans were hoping for more considering what the Redskins gave to the Rams to move up less spots. I guess Chip isn't crazier (or dumb ) as our organization.
I've had people on Twitter argue with me that the Rams didn't win the trade haha. The argument was how many playoff games have the Rams been to.
For what the opinion of a lurker is worth-- I like him. My worry though is that he is so strong that he wins a lot with his arm and back strength even when when his feet and torso are beat; makes me worry about his fourth quarters and Decembers early on, because he burns a huge amount of energy on those plays...
I love it. We need a quality WR and Agholor fits the bill perfectly to replace Maclin. Plus the more WRs here to outshine and push out Riley Cooper, the better. I've seen we offered two 1st rounders, Cox, Fletcher, and Boykin. Others have said we offered all of that plus another 2nd rounder. Crazy stuff. Its hard to say if we'll be successful. We would have given up way to much for Mariota. But at the same time Sam BRadford doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. Sanchez looked decent for a few games last season under Chip's system so I can only hope the same thing happens to Bradford. It just feels like we lost a gamble with Foles now though. We should have just kept him and made him our franchise QB.
I think a number of teams weren't sold that Williams was a three down player, or at least that he would improve the pass rush for anyone else on third down like he did in college; and I think the Redskins badly want to get more out of Morris than they did last year, and aren't sold on Compton's ability to get it for him/them. Scherff I don't see as an outstanding left tackle though I imagine he'll see some decent time there when other guys get hurt; but I think there's an awfully good chance he'll be an outstanding right tackle, and he IMO absolutely will be something like John Hannah if he's moved inside-- he doesn't just get to the second level any time he wants, he makes people bounce and roll there. I think it was a good choice and a safe choice-- they'll get their money's worth even if he doesn't cut it at tackle at all. And they kinda needed to avoid a bust even more than they needed to get a big star.
