Someone might try and charge her with hate speech I suppose...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hate_speech_laws_in_the_United_Kingdom

Our laws aren't the same as yours, for obvious reasons. We have a different history. Stuff like holocaust denial IS allowed in the UK, the same as in the states.

Yep, and it's even more than just simple laws. Human dignity is in the constitution.

Im also pretty sure you couldnt do this in a French, Finish or Danish newspaper.

Well, we haven't got one of those, as you probably know so there's only the legal recourse available.
I wouldn't know. I know that French fella who does the quenelle seems to say stuff about Jews that are pretty outrageous.

Looking at the law we HAVE got it's hard to see why it's not relevant.

Katie Hopkins always seems to know what to say to bring out the inner nazi from within people. It is really quite funny to follow her Twitter account, the electronic hate mob have met their match and then some

Farage has already said if he loses his seat he will quit as leader of UKIP. Said there would be no credibility in it so would walk away.

Yes, it was given credibility when our government let in hundreds of thousands of people every year.

Also, no Englishman has ever voted to be in a political union with the EU, yet here it is. And the result, a country that has no say over its own immigration policy.

On what planet is it where that makes good sense? Planet anti-facist? The irony of that...

What the hell are you talking about... EVERYONE knew that the EU would be moving towards political union. Heath knew when he took us in and the British people voted to stay in 1975, (by a 2/3rds majority I might add), to stay in. The future planned integration was precisely why people like Tony Benn and Michael Foot were against it.

Finally somebody who makes sense. Mass immigration has changed Britian for the worse. Now Britian is a slave to officals in Brussels and unskilled migrant Labour has changed the face and values of the nation.

UKIP will receive 10-15% of the national vote while AfD cannot even reach the 5% threshold nationally.

Initially a trading area without tariffs looked a good idea. I know a number of older gentlemen though who in hindsight regret voting in favour of it. Too many people did not foresee what was being planned.

Yeah, a society where you don't fear each other, don't blow each other up, and can travel to cool places without having to change your money around and go through customs. What a shithole that would be.

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit and is certainly no substitute for an argument.

I can see you are one of "those" who fancies one big police state whilst telling us we are all going to end up killing each other if we don't submit ourselves to the cause.

Unsurprisingly though, this Union is creating a resevoir of resentment.

The SNP would hold all of the UK hostage and weak kneed Red Ed would not do anything about it. To even join in a coaltion with a party that stated goal is the destruction of the Union itself shows how desperate Labour is.

I'm an American. Hence the name. Our country is approximately the size of Europe (a bit larger), and has a GDP approximately $17.7 trillion. The EU area has a combined GDP of $18.3 trillion, but because you guys don't get along, there is waste and inefficiency. One of the largest sectors where waste occurred was in military spending. In centuries past, this inefficiency was accompanied by great innovation due to experimentation of policy and competition, but that innovation has stifled.

I'm not saying America is better in every way. It's not. But in the one way that has mattered the most over the past two hundred years, America has managed to turn its system of government into sustained economic growth that has surpassed every other country in the world. We reduced the wastes and inefficiencies of fragmented union with our Constitution, encouraged innovation through federalism, and pooled the resources of the state with a growing economy of scale. In short, we designed institutions that were lucky enough to be useful in the 20th and 21st centuries. If Europe can't get past its xenophobia and ethnocentrism, fine. But you're really just shooting yourselves in the damned foot. We'll laugh at your inability to resolve the simplest of collective action problems all the way to the bank.

It's not like you would not like the current state of a split and weak Europe. As you described dwarfs Europe's economy yours despite all inefficencies. And life over here is like every night is Friday night.

With the Brits as your weird, smirky lapdog you can make sure it will remain so for a while cause heaven forbids the French and Germans -so to say continental Europe- share joint strike forces in addition to the same money.

A strong and prosperous economy that buys American products is better than a weak economy that does not. A free market with lots of competitors reduces prices and stimulates innovation. I welcome a strong Europe. As do most Americans, since that was the entire point of the Marshall Plan.

And do you oppose a strong Europe apart from the economic aspect? Being happy with 2nd place doesnt sound that 'Murican to me.

I'm not sure what you mean from "apart from the economic aspect." On moral grounds? Well, right now, there appears to be a lot of prejudice in Western Europe towards people from Eastern Europe. Making them all equals would do a lot to change those attitudes. On the basis of competition? Well, if you know how to read, you'll have already read that I welcome the competition. America does better when it's actually competing, and innovation is kindled by healthy competition.

I think that lots of people in Europe are unaware that 1-2% of Americans hold PhDs and 5% of us hold masters degrees. I think that Europeans forget how well-educated the American public is. I think that lots of people in Europe are content to believe we're all a bunch of gun-toting, uneducated hicks regardless of the facts. If you're okay believing in something that isn't actually true, then go ahead and believe it.
