Wasn't that for Man City playing Olympiakos at TCF Stadium ? http://www.foxsports.com/north/stor...sota-hopes-for-global-soccer-relevance-080214
mufc claimed all 34k for their game against the furries later that afternoon. jacksonville are going to be about 20k short of the record if they get to 14k.
Nope. "With this match taking place at EverBank Field, we are in a unique position to once again highlight our city by setting a new modern-day NASL regular season attendance record, currently held by the city of Ottawa at 14,593." http://www.armadafc.com/help-us-settherecordjax
I'm expecting a nice boost this season, especially for the Spring. With the addition of Jax which I am hopeful will draw greater than the average of last year. MNU may see a boost due to all of the excitement (or they could see a setback now that they "made it" and people may just wait a couple years, but I expect a boost at least for the Spring) and FTL now has legit owners instead of the Traffic mess. The Rowdies seem to be doing everything right and hopefully the Cosmos reverse the downswing. The only likely decrease would probably be Atlanta, depending on how the league stewards that club. Perhaps Indy may struggle to match last years amazing numbers and level off, somewhat like SAS have, but what little i've seen has been rather positive.
I think Indy will have similar numbers of probably all sell outs. I know a lot of people are just interested in soccer in the general Indianapolis area and Indy Eleven has done a really good job of advertising for the games and all, so I expect similar numbers.
Even MLS segregates DH numbers from normal regular-season numbers. Because piggy-backing off a friendly with a European side is cheating.
who controls the past controls the future. who controls the present controls the past. it's elementary amsoc (american soccer).
They actually don't to the best of my knowledge. They sometimes however exclude DH's from record keeping such as "highest regular season attended match" and such, which I believe would belong to the Galaxy in some double-headers with Mexican involved sides back in the Rose Bowl days. Those doubleheaders did however count towards the league average that they publicized. Nowadays, with MLS much more stable and most teams now being able to draw good crowds on their own power, they don't have too many DH's anymore, and often when they do, the MLS match is the headline event over US Women's and Youth matches and stuff.
They don't for the Houston Dynamo. We had a double-header in our first year at Reliant Stadium here in Houston. The first game was Dynamo-Galaxy and the second game was Barcel0na v. Club America. The attendance of 70,550 is counted in our average for 2006 increasing that to the point where it looks like our attendance went down in the second year even though our average at Robertson Stadium went up quite a bit in the second year. It is also listed as our highest attended game. It has an asterisk but no other game is listed. http://www.houstondynamo.com/history/stats/attendance
4711 in Atlanta Well done, @FTLStrikers! They set the club's Modern Era attendance record, drawing 11,691 fans at Lockhart Stadium tonight.
FWIW, two NASL matches have outdrawn Colorado Rapids. @ColoradoRapids: 11,450 @FTLStrikers: 11,691 @JaxArmadaFC: 16,164
most of those 4711 must have been on the camera side of the field because the far side was 1/3 full from what i could tell.
