So you thought they were great, okay, and never felt a difference. You're not just superstitious, you have something called multiple personality disorder. Go see psych doctor.

When it comes to professional sports, the difference between winning and losing is insanely small. Slipping even a tiny bit inside your boot does slow you down. TruSox prevent that. The logic is quite simple.

Yep. I think you're absolutely right. I have lots of voices in my head telling me to do different things and think different things all the time!

You've correctly psychoanalysed me from one measly post on the internet.

    Well that's me figured out.

Let me explain. Initially I felt my foot being gripped... I thought maybe they were actually helping, but I didn't actually play better. I persisted, got used to them but they gave me pretty bad blisters and now I never wear them.

In my entire time using them I never felt like they were impacting my performance.

So overall, I wouldn't recommend them to other people. Not for the price they cost anyway.

I don't think you understand what they do. They can't help your terrible technical ability, nor can they help your tactical ability with all those voices telling you different things to do.

They make you milliseconds quicker while cutting, changing direction, and accelerating. Does it make a huge difference to mediocre amateur athletes like you and I? Of course not. But when it's your profession and your livelihood depends on it, milliseconds DO matter.

I understand perfectly what they do. I just dont think they work. If you seriously think a pair of socks will make you a better player, and run faster, then you're wrong.

Sorry buddy. That's my common sense voice telling you that!

May I add it's completely disgraceful to throw insults about a serious mental illness about. I don't have schizophrenia. So grow up and start acting like a decent human being. Thanks.

He's a good honest trier, nothing more. Not a patch on an intelligent footballer like Lallana.

Would've expected Di Maria to go for the Xs over the Chaos after wearing Predators.

I can't upload the pictures due to being on my iPad but Costa was training in the new Red Adizero with what appeared to be the previous sprintframe.

Would explain why he has been wearing the whiteout pair during games, must prefer the sprintframe.

He is also rocking the external heel counter and four studs of the previous model.
He had the 11Pro outsole on the red ones at one point....I guess that didn't work for him, but did for adidas with the three stripe heel branding.

Curious to see what RvP uses when he comes comes back. The leather ACE with an adiPower outsole seems in his wheelhouse. That is assuming he stays on board with adidas. I am sure he is running low on leather custom F50's from the previous generation.....his injury might have bought him a bit more time in running through his current stock of boots though. I'd imagine that a player gets less of a single colorway from their sponsor these days as a new colorway drops almost monthly vs. the days when new colorways were quarterly and you'd see the odd pic of Becks getting a delivery of 30 boots (15 sg/15 fg) to last 3-4 months. Plus RvP uses his boots until they are blown out vs. the new pair every match motto of Rooney (at least he use to be that way).

Despite RvP's dip/inevitable drop off in form and effectiveness he's still one of my favorite players of all time and his icon status is cemented for me as the talisman for Fergie's final season. It would be a tad weird to see him in something other than adidas at this point in his career and personally I think he should stay at United until he hangs them up, with a lesser role in terms of minutes on the pitch. He could do so much for the youth coming through with regards to style and skill in their play.

BTW....have we figured out what ACE stands for? Assuming it is an acronym and not a straight name. Being that the boot seems to be a merger of the current Pred, the NC and the 11Pro (if we get that caged leather upper) I was thinking Accuracy Energy Control (ACE). It's a reach, I know, but it could make sense.

It would also make sense considering Adidas will be taking over the kit next season.

Indeed. I was thinking the same thing, but I guess it also depends on if he stays when thinking on that level......image rights and marketing plans are an easier deal when there is no conflict between personal sponsors and team sponsors.

I like the thought, but you might want to reconsider the order ;)
