Worse than Fuchs? How can anyone be worse than Fuchs today? He literally tripped on himself and then gave the ball away for a counter that thank god didn't materialize.

    Good game for Höwedes, too!

I don't even know who I want Schalke to draw in the R16. Porto and Monaco sound like the easiest potential opponent, but I don't think there's such a thing as an easy opponent for the Royal Blues.

Meyer was MOTM not only for the goal but also bringing the surge of positive momentum. Höwedes was solid all game, and Höger raised his play in the second half. Uchida provided a couple of clutch clearances that were huge. Fährmann stood firm late in the game while Maribor made their final charge. I think Boateng would have helped today but the job is done. With Draxler, Goretzka, Sam, and hopefully Farfan back after the winter break, we'll have more weapons to work with.

True. It's certainly not for lack of effort though; iirc, was one of those that covered the most ground last night (behind Aogo...I think it was). His finishing was deplorable, but they got away with it. I reckon he'll be alright

I could/should/would kiss Uchi after that defensive effort, worth a goal considering he saved two.

This was on FB, with caption; Fährmann's Lucky Charm :D

Well...um...better first leg than last year, right?

Maybe someday this club will figure out a way to get ahold of a legit backup for JKH.

It was! Seriously proud of that effort. Still want to kick Matip in the nuts for not doing the only thing he really needs to do. Great exeperiance for platte and wellenreuther; that guy must feel like his life is in overdrive at the moment, 4 games, including Bayern and RM, and all things considered he has been fantastic :D

    Nordkurve sen-f**king-sational.

THese are the best videos I can find at the moment, but hopefully the folks of 'Die größte Nordkurve der Welt' did some proper filming as they have in the past, I'll throw it up if/when it appears.

"Platte" and schalke was robbed by the crossbar in the 2nd half...that strike was brilliant and should have destroyed the net but we all saw how lucky Real was...and if SO4 had scored that equalizer many things including the result at the end of the 90th min would have been different

Big respect for the incredible display of football today. Tremendously resilient and fearless effort especially late in the match where it came so close. Sane and Meyer put on a world class display. Schalke has a great core of young guns set to rise, looking forward to big things to come.

That was really something. Do we think RDM and the boys were playing mind games with all of the "we have already lost" stuff. It seems like mostly fans of *ahem* other Bundesliga clubs picking up on that anyway.

Truth be told, I didn't think we had anything to play for in this one. Perhaps it's just my inner pessimist but I was just praying to god that nobody would injure themselves in this game. Never in a million years would I have thought the team had that in them... it was quite literally 'unbelievable'.

...I feel a bit of fool now, but I can't wipe the smile off of my face :D

Real and likes of real in Spain are nothing but "extremely Lucky" hyped up clubs..getting injected with money..loads of it..Of course what happened last night was true ( not a fluke) and they got dominated like the biotches they are..penaltydo could have and should have been better contained...if so he would have not scored those goals and if so 04 would have qualified to the next round...and those Spanish midgets would really understand who's BOSS...they just get away with it most of the times in games...things would have been so different if Platte had scored in Germany vs hitting that crossbar ...and who knows...who would have gone home packing last night!
Spanish teams and league is like a Carnival of International Jokers with mutated creatures from all over the globe....when each and every player is playing back in their national team they have nothing to offer. and they look like fools and cry babies..their youth academies are shit to...screw them and their Hollywood like football and this group of over payed players like Penaltydo..or that other mini me from Argentina...that plays along some Brazilian Joker!
THANK YOU SCHALKE FOR KEEPING GERMANY AND THE BULI PROUD ON SPANISH SOIL:thumbsup:;):D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

This is NOTHING my friend...too many politically correct sissies on these forums nowadays that are so scared to have an opinion...any opinion for that matter ( even the German side of the forum) that cant handle what i REALLY think about these so called super star wannabe's..likes of Messi...penaltydo..neymar and that ugly carnivor that bites ears off cant even be bothered with remembering his stupid name...all those jokers..absolutely over rated ...only can perform when they have an entire elite crew surrounding them and during fancy hyped up tourni's...even the spanish are a big joke..and they won the world cup due to politics and hopes of financially helping their sinking economy and to SHUT UP their poor ppl...the referee's gave them that previous world cup ....Man Schalke was less than a step close to hand over their aRsses to them in a silver plate....i wish it had happened...nonetheless they got OWNED in their own home & Stadia..which will burn for many years to come...:devilish::alien:;););):whistling::whistling::whistling:

    Thank you! :)

It feels so nice to put him in his place for so many reasons: his disrespectful comments before the game, the fact that the ref is on Chelsea's payroll.. etc. ;)

And by the way...REAL should kiss the referee's aRss again or should i say UEFA's aRss...how about "Sami Khedira" and that Handball in the box ???
That was sooooo obvious that am at a loss for words to explain it...a PK there and you guys might have gone in the locker 3-2 ahead..or even maybe 3-1 up!!!!
