Caught red handed. It just seems like a no brainer. Of course the Brazilian, Argentinian and Mexican federations would not agree, but it would raise American soccer (and by American, I mean the Western Hemisphere) to a new level.

@JSB_FOX: Looks like a deal has been agreed on #MLS

@JSB_FOX: Hearing from a player inside MLS negotiations that a deal has been agreed upon between MLS and players. Working on details.

So it's one of three things.

    1. The offer is good and the union leadership is sending it to the full union to get it ratified.
    2. The offer is bad and the union leadership is sending it to the full union to get it rejected and enhance their bargaining position.
    3. The vote isn't about any offer, but about playing Week One.

    Um, thanks everyone. :D

    Awesome.

And anyone skipping the last 18 pages foregoes their bigsoccer free agency eligibility for an additional two years

15% per year or the starting cap is 15% more than 2014? If it's 15% a year, that's pretty huge. By the end of the 7 year CBA in 2021 (if the cap started at $4.5m) you'd have a $10.4m budget.

Even 15% year on year starting with $3.5m in 2015 (which is roughly 15% up from 2014) you'd be at $8.2m by 2021.

"And is it? YES IT IS! White smoke, pouring from the window of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation office! Signalling to the rejoicing throngs below that we, at last, have a new Collective Bargaining Agreement! As the church bells ring in joyous celebration, let us now look forward for what is certain to be a marvelous season of soccer!"
