Which is what I don't get. 1. It's not like they have unlimited supply of good players. 2. Unlike the USWNT, they can not claim that the core of the Wales team is old and needs to be phased out. One player does not a core make. Yeah Fishlock will be 32 come the next world cup but it's a roster of 23 players. Having 1 player (arguably your best player) be 32 does not an aging team make. Look at Brazil, Formiga must be 56 years but that doesn't mean Brazil have an aging team
I believe CP's comment was more aimed posters who r always complaining that the US players r too old than anything concerning Fishlock.
When she was playing in Japan, in INAC Kobe Leonessa, she was commonly referred to as Beverly Goebel-Yanez (spelled Goberuyanesu by Japanese people ) and, if I remember correctly, she had "Goebel-Yanez" written on her jersey. To the point that it was me and other Nadeshiko football followers who were wondering why she just had "Goebel" on her jersey during her first season in Seattle, and, at the time, we even asked ourselves if there could be any crisis going on with her husband Othaniel.
