Strongest is playing to a 1-1 draw so far in the first half. I saw the last 20 min...They are playing like crap! Wayar has no idea how to play defense, can't clear a ball, doesn't know where to be or just doesn't hustle to the spot when a ball is crossed. Castro couldn't clear a easy ball which lead to the goal, plus he's passing is horrible. the two central defenders who are supposed to be " refuersos" Martelli and the bald guy are crap, Abram Cabrera should be out there. I only saw them threaten the goal a couple of times, Morelia's back line and specially the goalie look weak, if Strongest presses them and star to play better we could have a game, If they keep this up it'll get ugly.

We made it through baby! Seems like Mexican teams have a hard time beating us lately.

A couple of notes. Escobar still has it 35 years old, but he still scores, assists and kills it. Seems like he's going to be called up for copa america. He will be a great addition to the team even though his age.

Chumacero is slowly recovering his pace, he needs to improve his passing though. Castro is out of place. They put him as a DMF when in reality he is more of a 10, he doesn't aport much because of that. I think Wayar is a great player but young for bolivian standards (21) He is pretty fast and has some strength but does get nervous in international games he needs to gain more confidence. I really wish they would put Cabrera in.

i didn't see anything from Cuesta yet who came with bells and whistles. He was the second top scorer in the peruvian league last year and big Peruvian teams were after him. I hope he can show what he's worth in the group series.

Glad to see them go through. They lacked the quality touch in the last third, but Escobar made it all okay.
I agree about Escobar, his leadership will help tons in the national team, still not sold on Wayar, or even Chuma.
Cuesta was horrible, he had two clear chances and did nothing with them, not what you want to see from your star signing. Hope they can fix all their issues for the group stage.

    Is our forum dead??

Nothing about the historic win by the Strongest against Internacional? I hate to say it, but I was rooting for los tigres last night.

I am sure Chico was watching and celebrating with one of those big ass foster cans. Amazing result. Strongest dominated majority of the game. Chumita has to have gotten the attention of Brasil again. He dominated and Escobar too. Ramallo is not bad and may have gotten looks too. Same goes with Nelvin Soliz who's a good sub off the bench.

Good game, Tigres. Only in the Libertadores will I put my country over club though. ;)

    For you, Chico!

    Amazing game! 3-1
Completely agree! Seems like Chuma is back 100%. He was running, passing, marking, scoring. Escobar is again the brain in this team.

A couple of notes. Cravioto finally decided to put Veizaga in and that made the difference. Because of that we could see Castro and Chuma go up a little more and create.

The group is still very hard but I think we have some chances.

I'm on vacation, haven't been connected. I did see the highlights, I love the fact that Chuma and Ramallo scored, it's about time someone gave Ramallo his chance. The group is wide ope Emelec beat la U in Chile, if Strongest can get a point in Manta against Emelec that would be huge. Let hope they keep it up!

Good to see Chuma back in form, him and Veizaga had a great game! and that pass by Escobar for the third goal!
Hopefully they can keep it upm but they have a very hard group with Emelec and Internacional.

San Jose - River should be interesting to watch tonight, it's always a comedy watching Argentinians cry about altitude.

How is San Jose doing in the league?

Argies mostly get mentally effed when it comes to altitude. If San Jose is halfway decent, they should be able to pull off a result.

San Jose is currently in second place tied with The Strongest (but with 1 more game played), they lost last week in La Paz vs The Strongest but they were both playing with their B teams. Also River left half their starters at home, so hopefully it wont be to bad.

Well so far Bolivian teams are holding their own at home, that's a good thing. The next step is to not get destroyed on the road and hopefully get some points. Strongest play tonight at Emelec, it's gonna be a good game, both teams have been playing well. Quiteros knows many of the players on the strongest, it'll be intersiting to see how he plays them and where he thinks their weaknesess and strengths are, hope we come away with at least a point. On a side note props to the Sthongest B team, they played three games and won all of them, a few of these guys could be starting, For example Cabrera the CB. The winning streak for the B team will probably end this weekend against Bolivar.

We'll see how it goes with Quinteros. If it's anything how he handled emelec vs. Bolivar, Strongest should be going in there pretty confident/able to pull off a result.

3-0, The Strongest didn't have a chance. Tbh I fear Emelec will be the team to watch for when they come to La Paz, the only way I see The Strongest going to Octavos is by getting a point in Chile, and hope Internacional doesn't get any away points.

Yep. I fear that Strongest isn't as strong as I first imagined. They just need to make the most out of thir home games and hope for the best.

Finding out that your main striker is out due to doping one hour before the match must be tough to digest. Making the adjustment even worst. What Cravioto did was to plug in Soliz and push Escobar, didn't work. Just goes to show how much faith he has in Cuesta, the guy who came from Peru to score all the goals. The other big signing, the CB, not sure of his name, the Paraguayan bald guy. He sucks, once again Cabrera needs to be starting in his place.
I agree, they need to win all home games, but in addition get a point on the road. Not so easy.

That's it, Centurion. I don't think he has contributed enough to be called "refuerzo"
As a matter of fact Cabrera who has already played on our national team is a better defender right now. However after the last game it's ovious Strongest has a issues in other areas as well.

Tonight both The Strongest and San Jose play away games, let's hope they do as good as Universitario did on Tuesday.

After this last round of games I have no faith in any of the Bolivian teams left in Libertadores, it would take a miracle to move on. At this point la U looks the best, if they can win all their home games they have a chance. Let's face it, that is highly unlikely, then again they just got to take it one game at a time. I think they get Huracan at home next. Strongest and San Jose got one foot out the door, they would need a point on the road.
