Go back and watch the second half. Does that look like a club that's gonna challenge for the title? Total shit show! I'm tired of fourth!
And stop blaming the Ref. Yeah he was bad.....guess what other Clubs get bad refs. I'm totally venting. Thought we looked awful today.
I only saw the second half (work and all). Ospina.....went down twice for minor bumps....better toughen up a bit. Giroud....ineffective....grabbed his throat like he had his throat slit after a minor infraction....better toughen up a bit for a striker. Ramsey....non factor. Ozil....non factor....timid...ineffective.....poor passes. Everyone who shot at goal was off target. Best player......Rosicky. Defense...in panic mode for much of the second half. Offense.....we tippy tapped the ball around the top of the box and in the end produced nothing......what am I missing? Oh, and this was Leicester. Harsh.....maybe, but things are tightening up for the top four spots. Better get our shit together.
Cazorla has a hard time playing two games in a few days. Age and workrate catching up to him. He needs to be rotated in these cases.
Just watched the game off the DVR. Holy Shit! That was the absolute worst ********ing referee I have ever seen! (Should have been yc on the foul at end of first half outside the box, Rosicky was the one fouled when he was booked, possible hand ball on LC goal, Not a foul from Giroud right after he came on, swarter kicks ball into Giroud and Giroud gets booked, etc , etc) Nice job by Arsenal against the referee. A good first half and a nervy second half. I would have taken Sanchez off at half time or earlier. Coq was good and Bellerin was lackadaisical in defense. I sure hope Sanchez is OK. Now I will read through the thread to see what y'all had to say.
for watching half of a game..you were very opinionated in your assessment of Arsenal play in previous posts
I agree for the most part. Arsenal need to overcome the poor refereeing. But, that ref missed a ton of fouls and made a lot of bad calls. It didn't help that Arsenal were pretty poor in the second half.
Maybe you should watch the whole game before commenting. Ramsey was a non factor because he played all of 9 minutes. Ozil wasn't good in the second half. No one was, but he had an assist and 4 key passes in the first half and completed 88% of his passes.
Would you rather have Gus Johnson instead??? lol Not everyone can have the luxury of having Martin Tyler (especially with Andy Gray in tow), Clive Tyldesley, John Motson, the late great Brian Moore or Jon Champion call every match, although we all wish we did.
Any thoughts on Ospina today? I don't have the expertise to know if he should be better on those rebounds or if he's doing well just to get to them.
every single club in the premier league has had matches where they played badly like "a club that's not gonna challenge for the league title" only thing that matters each matchday are the points fwiw you aren't gonna challenge for the title but it's not one average second half display in a match that you win anyway that's the indicator of that fact
anyone else go to the match? i went and i was shocked at how quiet your fans are. there was a decent group in the lower tier at the north bank (the one's standing) and then a few by the away fans at the clock end but by and large the emirates public library was quieter than i remember "we'll sing on our own we'll sing on our owwwwn you're so quiet we'll sing on our own" - Leicester fans it's funny cos your away fans are some of the best in the league
you shut your face with your facts. ramsey was absolutely shite. in fact, he was little better than oxlade-chamberlain who was utterly crap this game - just plain invisible.
this performance strikes me as a referee who was apologising for ********ing up their last game together. i especially liked how giroud was called for a handball for covering his face because . . . schwarzer demanded it. then giroud gets a yellow for having the temerity to have the ball be kicked into his ass . . . because schwarzer demanded it. meanwhile, simpson wrestled ozil to the ground: perfectly acceptable. they were playing rough the whole game to see if they could knock us off ours - and the referee allowed it - and i was sad that we had nobody responded.
Interesting blog from Arseblog today analyzing Theo. It is clear to me that he absolutely hates Theo for reasons that are not clear to me. Is Ox (or even Gnabry) a better long term prospect than him? Welbeck can play on the right side too. Starting to think that the end is near for Theo. Although I do wish that we can keep him for a reasonable amount of money.
No doubt. I love that pirate dude they keep showing on TV. Looks like he can kill someone with a rusty butter knife.
I've have mixed feelings about Theo. He's frustrating. He can score goals, but i always feel like he should be doing a lot more. At this point you've got to think that he is the finished article, he's going to be 26 next month.
