Pretty close, but it's not online only (although you have to be online for it to work). You can play single player seasons and tournaments, which earn you coins. The single player tourneys and seasons aren't as lucrative though.
Yeah I finally bit the bullet and bought the game too during the sale. Actually hope all the extra content will finally get me to try out FUT.
