Another win for Boca, 2-0 vs Tigre. El Vasco has this team playing well.

    Yes..we lost
    Yes..we missed a penalty
Yes.. We missed out on goals
But a lot of it was under some bs circumstances
Ponzio deserved a red card early on and gigilotti scored but was called offsides
Not to mention how fking dirty the gallinas played
If that's how you guys win then let it be
But for once I'm going for the non-argentine team in the final

    Yeah yeah
    Have your moment
Let's see how long it lasts
If you don't win the torneo then it would be choking on your part and if Racing win that's even more laughable
There's also a final still left to play for you guys so good luck with that

Yeah, it would be sad... although not as sad as being out of the title race since the first half of the tournament like some other teams.

So freaking what, go sing to Gardel. Obviously as all polls prove, more Argentines are fans of Boca than of any other club. So odds are that any given Argentine will be a fan of Boca rather than another club, and that's also true of the refs. That doesn't mean that they cannot be professionals and do their job without biases.

    I come in peace-

There's been a lot made in the news in Arg these past few weeks about gigliotti and him being blamed (mainly by barras- not real fans) how do you boca fans feel about him?

Sure, he missed a penalty, but for me, he is boca's best striker, far better than calleri who has gotten more playing time this season...

Just curious what you all think... Should he stay at your club? Would you want him in the Libertadores or want someone else?

Just trying to generate some civil discussion and i'm generally curious... We talked in the river forum how we didn't gigliotti to play against us, he had our number since his colon days... anyone can miss a pen, ortega and francescoli missed crucial pens are river... god knows messi has missed many pens at barca.

For me Gigilotti deserves more credit for what he gets
    Everyone misses chances
I keep saying without him you have to take away countless clutch goals that made the fans love him
He's proven himself well for Boca but the ones around him often fall short.
I remember paying close attention to a particular game where Carrizo wasnt giving him the ball for an almost sure goal and it happened about 3-4 times that game.
He did almost everything right against you guys except for that penalty and getting the ball past the net. He created many chances but luck wasn't on his side.

Now that's one of the worst ways to end the season...
We played better but couldn't score
Gimnasia got to the goal twice and scored both times
    The irony...

Boca signs Gino Peruzzi. That's a good player!

Also they are reportedly getting central defender Marco Torsiglieri. LOL, another ex Velez.

These are the new players Boca signed so far, with Peruzzi in my view being by far the cream of the crop:

Guillermo Sara (Goalie) from Betis (ex Rafaela)
Pablo Perez (Midfielder) from Malaga (ex Newells)
Cristian Pavon (Forward) from Colon (ex Talleres)
Alexis Rolin (Centerback) from Catania (ex Nacional Uruguay)
Marco Torsiglieri (Centerback) from Metalist Ukraine (ex Velez)
Gino Peruzzi (Right fullback) from Catania (ex Velez)

Other players mentioned as possible reinforcements include left backs Alvaro Pereira and Luciano Monzon, attacking midfielder Gaston Ramirez, as well as Bryan Ruiz, a talented enganche/forward who was Costa Rica's captain at the WC. It would be awesome to get either Ramirez or Ruiz, but I'm skeptical.

Hopefully some of these guys will make a difference. It's about time, we need to go for La Copa!

Highlights of the Racing game if anyone hasn't seen them, Marins tackle is shocking to be fair.

Peruzzi is a good signing, not too sure on the rest. We seem to be in a phase of constant squad changes and poor player purchases. As a general question what has happened to the quality of the young players coming through it wasn't that long ago when Boca were being geared up as the South American football conveyer belt for talent and now it has sort of dried up. Is this a Boca problem or one that spreads across Argentina?

Marin's tackle looks very similar to the tackle that Martinez received during the Sudamericana. Vangioni's tackle from behind was just as bad as Marin's tackle.

If you really think that, you should find a different sport to watch. Honestly, this post should come with a laugh track.

That said, Boca has made some good moves. But they also didat he last transfer period, and it didnt result in hardly anything. At least we have a slightly better tournament to play now

Let's just say Marins tackle was worth 3 red cards but Vangionis was at least worth 1

I think thats a fair assesment of it. Honestly Marin has to be suspended a couple games right? I mean he brought his leg back to drive even harder into the back of Centurions leg.

I would think so but it was during a friendly which either begs the question of why would someone play that roughly or let's him off since it was unofficial
Hopefully he gets some time off to think about what he did. That was brootal

The game was over with the bonehead red cards. Marín's was bad, it could have resulted in a serious injury for Centurión. In addition, he got himself ejected, when he's one of the players who really needs to prove himself, because he hasn't played well.

Marín did go to the locker room to apologize to Centurión after the game, and Centurión accepted it gracefully.

I think it is a problem in general for all of Argentina, and the performance of our youth national teams lately speaks for itself. But speaking as a Boca fan, no doubt it is a huge problem for Boca right now.

Boca is still a big club, it can still be competitive, it can raid the smaller clubs for talent, and it can bring back some good players who for whatever reason are in a bad situation overseas. And that's what they're doing. But to get back to the glory days, to be again a favorite to win in Argentina, to win Libertadores, and to have a chance to beat the European champions, I think it's a must to have a cantera that consistently produces talent, and right now it's obviously not happening. The club needs to address that.

i don't think its a problem for argentina there are plenty of really good kids playing on the sub 20 and river's youth team just beat galatasaray with sneijder and pandev and felipe melo all playing.

just look at vietto and dybala- both good players in argentina but never out of this world, and they're dominating in europe now.

if you want to know why argentina's youth teams aren't doing well the answer isn't with the players, its with Humberto Grondona. He is all of Argentina's problems.
