played a couple of games last night, really enjoying the gameplay...the wear and tear on the pitch is a nice added effect...
the presentation is fantastic and the game has never been as exciting to play as it is now. I'd say its a big thumbs up for EA. I've been happy with all their sports titles this year, especially Madden.
Mainly because of the return this year of Tournament Mode to the latest-gen consoles, I've already played almost as much FIFA 15 in the last few days as I had FIFA 14 in the past year (though both are really good games in and of themselves). Also, don't forget to occasionally update the game's rosters by choosing: Customise ---> Edit Teams ---> Download Updates ---> Yes -G
Is it really worth getting if you have Fifa 14? I mean, are there £50 pounds worth of improvements....or are there a few tagged on changes, and mainly for the Fifa muppets who fall for this EA con every year?
Since different posters here have different favorite modes in the game, you'll likely get several different answers to that. As for me (as I posted here earlier), I've always mainly played Tournament Mode, so my answer would actually involve flipping your question around: the exclusion of Tournament Mode from the PS4 (as well as the Xbox One) version of FIFA 14 basically made it a wasted purchase for me even though it's an otherwise good game. Conversely, Tournament Mode has been returned to FIFA 15 for all platforms and I'm absolutely having a blast playing it again (and yes, the gameplay, presentation, etc. remains really good), so this year's game has been worth every penny for me thus far. -G
I'm right there with you with the Tournament mode, I was highly disappointed to see it missing from 14 and traded it in when I seen it was missing. When I've had enough of career mode I will go make up a tournament and have a great time with it. I think 15 is a big improvement over 14, at least on the Xbone, not sure how it is on the 360. I think the gameplay is better, the graphics are great. Now I will say the career mode is pretty much similar to 14, not many changes in that aspect of the game.
Well i for one have had a club with some friends since FIFA 13 and we're still at it this year round. I almost exclusively play Pro Clubs or Online seasons and in that aspect the game remains great. Ultimate team is getting a little stale and needs a revamp. As i already mentioned the graphics and presentaiton are fantastic so no worries there. And the gameplay is improved over last years so i would say its worth picking up This is probably one of the best FIFA's EA has made
I think it benefits from being their second effort on the next gen console, where NHL struggled a bit in comparison. It's nice to be able to switch between Be A Pro and FUT, depending on my mood. The game is a bit better in everything, although I'm sad that they notched down heading power (not that they shouldn't) because that's how I got up to Division 1 in FUT. Thousands and thousands of crosses from Hulk to Lacina Traore were fun, but at least with Traore at Monaco now I can build a better team around him than when he was in Russia.
Is there no Champions League in the first season of career mode? Started one as Arsenal and it wasn't there. Enjoying the game, hadn't bought a FIFA in 3 years so I was due for an upgrade.
when you start a new career and are choosing the career settings there is an option you can choose to have european competition the first season
Well, a couple of mates put some money together to buy me the game (had it for a few days), because I told them I refused to be an EA muppet....and I have to say.. ...I was right, very limited change from Fifa 14. In fact some things seem a little worse. Computer AI is still dumb, but now we have the added bonus, that through balls are mostly over kicked to an oncoming keeper (even when you tap the button). You'd hope they'd improve on things that didn't work, and not mess with the stuff that did too much...but I'm not surprised.
Hopefully, particularly since it's only been a few weeks since FIFA 15 was released. FIFA 14 unfortunately didn't update (and from what I hear, still hasn't updated) the San Jose Earthquakes to their new logo and uniforms when those were unveiled this last January, but that was already four months or so after the game had been released. -G
In my career mode I play nine minutes halves. No matter what goes on it seems I always get 5 mins of extra time at the end of each half... I just finished the first half where the only thing happened was a yellow card and 5 mins of extra time was added on... This happening to anyone else??
The first post-launch title update is now available for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Is the problem still there even after the update? -G
Won the Bundesliga with Stuttgart in my Be a Pro game. Started on the Fire and then moved to Europe when I got the change. Starting my second Bundesliga campaign and first CL champaign. Beat City 2-0 away and then lost to Hamburg at home in my next match. Whole team played like garbage, it was like the AI forgot what to do. Did they build in a "European Hangover" into this years game?
The good news regarding the recent November update is that the few current New York City FC and Orlando City SC players were added to the game, albeit only for Ultimate Team mode. The bad news is that at least for now, neither team was added in the other modes. That actually makes sense since neither team will have full rosters until the 2014 MLS Expansion Draft on Wednesday, December 10th, but it still would've been cool to have both teams included in MLS Tournament Mode this weekend. -G
