So did Apartheid South Africa in the 1970s then Soweto was the tipping point and international isolation and sanctions crushed the SA economy Isreal will be entering that phase soon. It's also easy when you steal other people's products, labour and other resources. Like other people's taxes. The Palestinians have recently pursued totally peaceful means to achieve peace and independence by taking steps to apply for membership to the ICC. This is totally non-violent and a laudable action, as it promotes compliance with international laws and subjects the Palestinians (as well as any israelis occupying Palestinian territory) to the jurisdiction of international institutions. In return, israel has "withheld" (read: stolen) Palestinian tax receipts, effectively engaging in collective punishment. israel is so generous, giving all this free stuff and not taking anything back in return. It brings a tear to my eye, all this selfless giving. I sometimes wonder whether they don't just stop being so charitable. I also wonder why they don't give all this free electricity and water and supplies and food to its other neighbours such as Jordan and Egypt and Syria? Why this favouritism towards the Palestinians? It really is mind-boggling.
Someone has to give help and be decent as you know, Palestinians can't really rely on their Arab brothers to do something meaningful that does not involve killing Jews or Palestinians.
Let us all pray that the Palestinians will one day be able to return the favour by doing to the israelis exactly what the israelis have so generously been doing to the Palestinians. Amen.
