Yes, she was playing in AS Elfen Sayama in season 2012, I guess. At the end of the season, when the team was relegated, INAC signed Ayaka Watanabe for season 2013.

I don't know this Takeo Matsuda, but, since he managed Beleza and Saitama, I assume it's a good move by INAC. :) Does anyone know more about him?

I guess they were just tears of disappointment from missing Empress' Cup's final. Erina Yamane was spotted crying after the match too. It's been a difficult season for Vegalta: missing Exciting Series was for sure heart-breaking for them and Empress' Cup could have been their chance for redeeming the whole season. They went close enough though, with the semi-final.

I don't think Yuuri Kawamura will leave Vegalta: it would be the third change of club in three season for her! She played for long in Albirex Niigata Ladies, then in 2013 she moved to JEF United Ichihara Chiba Ladies; something had to go wrong there (maybe she didn't like the coach, the same one that was later accused to molest young players?), because in 2014 she passed to Vegalta Sendai Ladies. She's currently fighting for a place in NT's roster, so I don't think she's going to change again, unless it is to come back to her old club in Niigata.

Mmm, you only use the initials because the name can't be disclosed? :cautious: It is clear to me who she is, but you do think that we can't name her, here?

Virany found short highlights from both semi-finals.

NTV-Beleza - Vegalta Sendai Ladies 2-0 (in fact it doesn't seem like Mami Yamaguchi touched the ball on 2nd goal; it was the header of Vega's DF #4 Risa Yamamoto who misled GK Brittany Cameron and went in goal untouched):

Urawa Reds Ladies - JEF United Ichihara Chiba Ladies 3-1 (Yamane was quite reckless in coming out of her goal: she could have easily being punished again by Seike with fourth goal and I can see why she was crying after the match; Fukasawa's goal was chaotic :p):

Also, from an amateur view, Dozono's goal:

    Kiko Seike's 1st goal:

Kiko Seike's 2nd goal (team-mates compliment GK Sakiko Ikeda for her "assist" :giggle:; I also find very funny the detail of an Urawa supporter lifting up her little Urawa-clad daughter to celebrate the goal, behind JEF's goal, at about 0'24" of the video ):

A better view of Fukasawa's bulldozer-style goal :giggle::

Finally, I guess we hadn't seen these highlights from last week (from the same source of the semi-finals' videos); it's Vegalta Sendai Ladies-Okayama Yunogo Belle 6-1, watched from the opposite side of the pitch to the highlights that we had seen before. Also, the video includes a "bonus section" with Sameshima receiving Christamas' gifts from the standings: I am sure someone will appreciate that! :giggle:

No, because when and if the news is announced, there will likely be name searches on the web to find out who she is.
Anyway it was something in the works (I suppose visa application) and it may not happen. No reason to believe Kiryu will not be back.

Speaking of foreign movers, this morning on Twit:
Beverly Goebel-Yanez and Chelsea Stewart have left INAC Kobe Leonessa.

There was a feeling in the air that Bev wasn't feeling as good as in previous seasons, in this third INAC experience...

I don't think Chelsea Stewart has played a single minute, since she arrived, did she? o_O

Not a goalie expert or football expert in general but the Belle goalie did not look that good in most of these situations. More like swatting flies... But that is only my impression...

Sigh, Same-san is such a nice person...

All this news of INAC departures is a little sad, same as it as last year, but I guess that's football, that's sports, and that's life. Respect and well wishes to the girls that are leaving, their contributions were and always will be appreciated. Let's keep our heads on straight and focus less on the pieces we've lost, and focus more on the pieces we have, and the ones we can get. You never know what the future holds. Lionheart! Let's go!

My dream is to one day be in the crowd of one of these matches and be in that situation (with Ms. Jaws would be awesome, but we all know that there are like 600 other players I would have on that list) and be like"I want to give you a present!" and when she goes to receive, I want to just jump down into her arms like "Merry Christmas!" with a Santa hat and everything. :x3::ROFLMAO:

Also has anyone ever mentioned that Lady Vega Lady Gaga banner before, it's always there and I love it to death!

I had not noticed before. I guess I am used to seeing her portrait from the team roster where her face looks a little fuller. She has her hair down there so perhaps it is the magic of hairstyling. shimizu_risa.jpg

It may have been mentioned already but Fukasawa's goal looked like a handball. Didn't it come off her shoulder? The Urawa players were protesting but at that point in the game, it didn't make much difference.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Looked like a lot of hand going on there. You're right though, the scoreline makes it a moot point, and besides, the ref already called it so it would be sort of pointless to complain about it.

Well, let's not forget that the poor girl was just a DF that was put into goal because Belle had no replacement for Fukumoto...

Lol, I'd want to see that scene!!! If I remember well what you often said, you would be the right size to be welcomed into Same's (or someone else's) arms and also to be mistaken for a Santa's little helper, aren't you? :geek:

Maybe that banner had been mentioned many months (years?) ago, but it's so cool that it's surely worth mentioning it again! :D

Well, maybe pony-tail has this magic! :p

But I can assure you that, when I saw her play at U-17 WWC 2012 it was quite obvious how skinny she was. Back then, I could still blame it to her young age; now I guess we can be sure it's just her natural build. :D

Well, I'm more worried about the sheer force of a body (no matter how tiny) cannonballing into another (sometimes equally as tiny) body. That might take a bit of dexterity to manage. :ROFLMAO:

I don't think they would ever dare to purposely drop pretty little me! :p

I know we're only a few days away from the end (of the year, not the universe), but is anyone out there still in as much of the Christmas spirit as I am!?

A couple of news or rumours.

    - Sameshima will leave Sendai. The report says the next club could be either domestic or abroad.

    - Osafune could join Urawa Reds next season.

INAC just let their left back go, didn't they? Just saying :) by the way, I red INAC were in negotiation with Sayama's Matsuda a couple weeks ago, but if that's true and he joins them, that would be their best signing.

Also the same newspaper reported Kawashima will move to Nojima.

This is apparently from a local newspaper of Miyagi prefecture where Sendai is.

We had Chelsea Stewart's debut here quite a while back, it was on a full-game video. She played RB and played quite well (as the fresh player). I think she came on as a sub a few times, but never started.
I thought Bev looked good when we saw her, and she scored a superb goal (and perhaps an assist?) v Niigata in INAC's only Exciting Series win. But she spent her time this season in MF, not in the FW like last year. Also I remember posting here that she also looked quite good (best INAC player on the field I thought) in that rain-sodden 0-1 defeat to Belle, when conditions were ideal for a big player.
Who is this Matsuda? Osaka has or had a Matsuda, the former Belle player.
Surely in a WWCup year, Same is leaving Sendai only to go abroad.
And why would super-young Urawa want Osafune?! Makes no sense?!
