I thought Shea is garbage. Been said over and over in this thread.

Why would MLS or Orlando want a garbage player who failed in Europe?

Someones got to clean Kaka's boots and give him haircare advice

Kaka has had the same hairstyle since he won the World Cup, Brek's coming back to revolutionize his look

Congrats to Orlando, but sort of anti-climactic for the rest of us.

Have you seen MLS leading scorer? None the less Shea did well in the MLS.

He was an average player bar a 3 month period.

I hope Orlando knows what to expect out of him. I'm guessing they are making him a DP?

That guy was much better in the Championship and the EPL than Shea was.

He's still garbage quality for Europe's standards
Not many have the season he did as his age in 2011. He was even a MVP nominee if I remember correctly.

He sucked his last season in mls and has sucked since. its been 3 years and he has produced almost 0 quality in that time.

Im being harsh but I think thats just the reality of the situation.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with a post like this?

Brek Shes has followed in the footsteps of Kenny Cooper and Robbie Findley before him...coming back to their proper level. (Though Cooper and Findley both played more games in Europe than Shea has.)

Who knows what size that paycheck will be. He could be playing for peanuts. I can't see him getting a DP deal, or has that already been made known that he is getting a DP deal?

Exactly. He took his chance in England, and padded his bank account. Got to respect that. I wish him well in MLS.

That's extremely harsh on Cooper and Findley. Neither of them pulled up any trees, but they never attracted anything like the same level of contempt - personal as well as professional - as Shea seems to have achieved in Europe.

That level of contempt doesn't come easy; it's something that has to be worked, and worked damn hard, at. A pig's head in a (Rastafarian) team mate's locker is a good start, but it requires more; much, much more.

Seltzer doesn't know jack. All his reports are him hedging his bets.

"This isn't close to done so let's make a u-turn, but it could still be done."

I'll take the word of the Orlando City guy that is breaking all the news in his town.

So true. The U8 Brek tried to play for the U14, now he is coming back to the U8. He will be fine in MLS, after a few seasons he will be crying that he is playing above his contract and pull an Eddie Johnson, then go back to sucking.

I guess other Championship teams can take a chance. The guy is probably worth $100, so anybody can take that small risk.

Well you know better than I do but didn't BWP get at least 1 EPL goal and more than a few in the Championship?

True. I think I made the mistake of equating "better than Brek" with "good."

BWP was excellent for promotion chasing sides in League 1, but could never handle the step up. I think he did score once for City in the PL yeah.

    Maybe in Henry's Plymouth years

Do MLS watchers expect him to drop off again now Henry has retired then?

Henry has certainly helped Luke Rodgers, Kenny Cooper (regained past MLS form for a year), BWP, and Juan Agudelo (to a lesser extent).

It will be interesting to see if NYRB bring in anyone to fill in the gap. Otherwise it would not be surprising to see BWP score 4-8 goals.
