hmm that's not what I saw on (some) the japanese press though, last I heard he would have to testify in february and JFA gives him the claim of innocence, so it seems unlikely that he will miss the Asian Cup at this point. Other sources say that Hara declined to comment today though, so it's going to be the hot topic until AC I guess. Just hope it doesn't distract the team :/
I didn't say he wouldn't coach the team during the Asian Cup, he will, but this is serious, to the point the JFA is launching an internal investigation on him. They met with him and a lawyer today.
I reckon his head will roll before the AC15, as its short notice either Hara or Teguramori will take the reigns on interim basis until the search finishes for a new coach to take over after AC. I hope it's a Japanese coach.
I hope they won't change him before AC... Result is more important in this situation than 'what others say' about that (domestic crowd). They can sack him when the case starts in court. Clean and safe. Hara et al. heads can roll before the new coach will be announced.
Seems very hard to believe as it'd damage the team plus maybe he's already fixed the asian cup for us
Arguments? Japan it's still one of the best team in Asia...Australia has home advantage, but they aren't so strong. Sure, SK it's a strong opponent...
The last time a JNT coach was resigning before an important event was Okada before WC2010, then... Jokes apart, maybe JFA will resolve this in a typical Italian way: Aguirre win the AC15 = he'll stay while Aguirre lose the AC15 = fired. Meanwhile, to answer Radu, this JNT is far weaker than 2011 JNT: Kagawa is simply shit compared to 4 years ago when he was a talented player always onfire, Eiji is declining in Standard, Nagatomo and Honda are at least average or worst in Milan and actually we totally lack (as always) a credible FW, at least better than 2011' Maeda. I hope Muto will forge ahead and become some sort of phenomenon to let us score some goals while I'll prey to be redcard-free and finish the game with 11 men not like in 2011. Plus: try to avoid Australia till the final, thanks.
I wasn't going to make any type of evaluation, but can you imagine going into the competition with a new coach and tactics all decided 20 days before it? I can't really imagine this scenario
Kinda like what I expect if the team goes to the AC15 with Aguirre tbh. The new team so far hasn't established a new vision or image of Aguirre Japan. The 'new' team has played crap, and all the good performances have essentially looked just like Zac Japan (because it's been with all the Zac Japan players). The Zac Japan players can still play like Zac Japan even if you throw on my dog on as manager.
Thought the same thing for awhile but if we play the same personnel (other than the striker) and system as in Brazil, I am expecting us to win it.
Of course Japan should win but I wanted JFA to send a semi-experimental squad to give Russia 2018 hopefuls international experience. Sorry, tbh I have a hard time keeping an interest in this Asian Cup. The WC disaster still hurts me. Japan got by far the worst performance ever with their best squad ever.
I don't mean to interrupt here, but what do you mean by this? Not born in Japan, or not of any Japanese blood at all?
Aguirre requested a friendly with a Middle Eastern team last month. No news yet though..... http://www.hochi.co.jp/soccer/japan/20141126-OHT1T50048.html
not really unless you consider a 2-1 from Ivory Coast like 3 goals in 10 minutes from Australia. Both pretty tragic considering the players we had anyway =(
