A newbie here, so please be understanding:

    1) At Red Bull Arena, is there a parking area normally reserved for buses? (I will need to give tickets to friends who be in Philly over the weekend)

    2) Will there be enough time for tailgating before the game at 4 pm? I know its BYOB on the bus and any tailgating before the game. If so, are there Porta-Johns in the parking lots? Are there food/drink trucks outside the stadium as at RFK, or are concessions only in the stadium?

    3) Does Red Bull Arena have similar policies on restricted items & security to RFK? Do they have wands to check for metal, like FedEx and other NFL stadiums? (Thinking of bringing along a flask)

    4) If there are, is it OK to these keep items on the bus? Will I have the same bus going back?

    5) What's the normal time-frame for returning to DC? I realize traffic will be awful Sunday evening and completely variable, but what's been the experience before? (Live and Learn? - Part of the Adventure?)

    6) Any pit stops on the way back (like at Maryland House)?

    1) Generally, yes - but they change so I'll let someone running this particular bus trip chime in on where they think they're going (sometimes once you get to the stadium, they change where they send you so take any lot as a suggestion only)

2)hard to say on time ... lots of porta-johns - never seen a food truck, not to say there aren't any.

    3) can't say I remember being wanded, but patted down pretty well sometimes, barely looked at other times

    4) yes, and yes

    5) 4 hours, depending on flat tires, times for stop(s) to smoke/pee, traffic (part of adventure)

    6) see (5)

I have nothing to do with this particular trip so take these as general, every road trip is different :D

    OK - Cool - Thanks

    7) Is there room on the bus to store coolers, chairs, etc for tailgating?

Historically, on Barra buses, I always brought small coolers that would fit in front of my seat and then put my feet up. If your cooler is so big that that's not a possibility, in principle (i.e. law) that's not allowed while in practice it depends on the bus/driver. Meanwhile, the bus will almost certainly have a luggage compartment underneath that will allow tailgate chairs etc.
