Deon McCaulay on trial with Columbus Crew: Also at #crew96 training: Deon McCaulay, a forward from the Atlanta Silverbacks. Gregg Bethalter said he is a trialist.— Adam Jardy (@AdamJardy) July 28, 2014
Hi guys, Cosmo fan going to game. Have a lot of Atlanta friends at game last time ********ing ultras through stones.not cool will we/be safe. Only two of us, just want to DRI kbeer and have fuñ
Don't sit near them? Aside from physical threats, the closer you are to them the dumber you will become.
They received a 3 game suspension at the start of the season, I believe for that incident. I rather expect that the security will be on extra-high alert. You should be alright. If they try that again, it should provoke an even more serious response than the 3 game suspension.
Like others have said, you will be fine if you steer clear of them. They sit in section 101 in the west side of the stadium. You will probably want to stick to the east side of the stadium. The Ultras also tailgate in the south lot (the elevated one behind the stadium), so you will probably want to stick to the north lot before and after the game. Good luck this weekend -- just not on the field!
Yes park on the lower fields. Terminus Legion tailgates in one corner near the portjohn, and Westside 109 tailgates along the first row behind the stands. I can say that Westside will welcome you to stop over and have a beer pregame. I'm not going to be there this weekend, but I know The crew that will be there will be friendly to visiting fans. I THINK TL would be the same, but I can not speak for them. They sit across from us in section 301.
Derby Carrillo gets the axe while we add yet another MF in Brandon Poltronieri: http://www.atlantasilverbacksfc.com...sta-rican-midfielder-poltronieri#.U-Oaf_ldUrV
I'm not surprised about Carrillo. He hasn't made the bench since Nasco's return, and I haven't even seen any photos of him at training during the NASLAccess campaign. As for Poltronieri, it seems like he has a decent resume. But why can't the FO make signing another center back a priority?
For those who haven't heard, Joe Nasco has been recalled by Colorado. 498316397945290752 is not a valid tweet id
Yeah, it sucks. Even worse when I talked to him last night he wasn't even sure if it had anything to do with playing time - I asked if he was finally going to get first time minutes and he just shrugged. If he goes back just to ride the pine then what is the point? Let him get some more game time in; the Reserves don't even play until the 23rd. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see what happens with the GK situation going forward.
Yeah, it's an odd situation. I assumed Clint Irwin must have gotten hurt, but it doesn't appear that is the case. Looking at the past few Colorado games, Irwin has started while John Berner, the regular backup, has been on the bench. It will be a shame if Joe goes back there only to serve as a reserve league backup. It reminds me a little of the David Estrada situation. He was recalled by Seattle earlier this season, and then he gets back and plays only 5 minutes for the first team. Although, to be fair, Seattle did just trade him to DC United.
Glad Joe finally got his start! About damn time. Also, Andy Smith just said a familiar face was headed back to the team. Transfermarkt has Jahbari Willis listed under the team and he wasn't there before. A Poku/Willis combo sounds terrifying.
That would be fantastic. At this point, we really just need warm bodies at forward. Gulley hasn't been in the squad since Aug. 16, and McCaulay hasn't played (or been in the squad) since July 26. Just imagine if Chavez had gotten hurt.
So Mendes and Poltronieri have been signed how long and neither have played? What's the deal there? I saw Mendes had some trouble with his international clearances after he first got signed but surely that's cleared up by now.
Mendes apparently won't be able to play for the Silverbacks until next season due to having already played for two clubs this season. From what I've gathered, Poltronieri was purely a cover signing. Maybe he could have played at left back in Randolph's absence, but after what we saw from Roushandel there against San Antonio, I don't think that's a likelihood now.
Are you ********ing for real? That's a thing in the rules? Wow. It really is too bad they couldn't at least pull off a tie against the Scorpions. The team really has the talent to do well but the chips just won't fall correctly at the same time.
Definitely deserved a point against San Antonio. Of course these days it's a case of if they didn't have bad luck, they'd have no luck at all.
Hey, speaking of signings: http://www.atlantasilverbacksfc.com...backs-sign-forward-shaka-bangura#.VCsUTvldUrU
