Here's an interesting, if somewhat trivial fact: no team in MLS has fewer ties than New England. We have three (as does Seattle), but Chicago has 16! Yes... I'm predicting a tie for tonight.
There's a viewing party at the Banshee, as well as Parlor I believe. Nashua is having one as usual, ours just starts with Happy Hour from 4-7 as well! I'm sure people will be at Gillette, but no freakin' idea why.
Nice! A revs game I can watch in Toronto thats not AGAINST toronto!!! Or on a poor quality stream lol. GO REVS!
The first 15 minutes should tell a big story. The Revs will have to withstand the pressure, but also not get pushed back on their heels. During the win streaks, they've been much more aggressive attacking on the road. I think Jones' ability to make long passes to switch play should be a big factor in getting them out of their end when KC's applying the pressure. OTOH, I think they'll try and bait him with chippy fouls and crap behind the play. Hopefully, he won't let that take him out of his game. If we can get out and play with the ball, they can't stay with us, so they'll be doing all kinds of tactical stuff when we get possession. The refereeing standard will be a big factor. You know Vermes, his players and the fans will whine like crazy whenever they get called, so it'll take a stout reff'ing performance to stand up to that.
Sorry to sound so cynical, but in other words, this will be a typical MLS game. Whack the stars, and unless their name is Beckham or Henry, the refs won't take particular note.
Maybe add Dempsey? The thing with Jones is that he usually likes to be physical and mix things up, whereas Beckham and Henry just like to take cheap shots.
What a half! We are the best team in the East when we play like this. Keep up the pressure in the 2nd. Put them away!
2-1 Nagamura. SKC is making their comeback. EDIT: 2-2 Yup. We suck. I called it and my wife didn't believe me but when you've supported the revs for 19 years its hard not to be cynical. SKC has at least 2 more goals in them tonight. The revs are getting played off the field and it's going to get ugly pretty fast if things don't change.
