Is Djibril Cisse still breathing ? He still plays for Bastia I think.

What a sad end. Has done nothing since leaving Greece. Probably should just retire and move on at this point.

He seriously does, he's playing on another level entirely.

He certainly deserves one, but it's too bad he's already 28. I think DD will call him up eventually for some friendlies if he continues playing well.

Got tickets to Lille-Guingamp next month during my trip to France. They had a deal that all tickets where either 10€ or 20€. Looking forward to seeing the grande stade in person.

Looks like a soulless stadium on tv. Grey seats when grey isnt a club color. Typical bowl shaped stadia. Yeah nice retractable roof but the team they put on the pitch isnt worthy of the stadium. Couldnt even find a sponsor to put its name on it. Oh but Seydoux does a good job of not losing tons of money. Congrats to him.

it was never as big a deal as it was made out to be anyway:

    - it had been reworked to be a surtax on clubs instead of income tax on players... an ENORMOUS difference because it means each million take-home after the first million cost the club 1.75M€ instead of 4M€.

    - since it only concerned salary over 1M€ the overwhelming majority of players and at least half the clubs weren't affected at all.

    - the seventy-five percent™ isn't going to be replaced by nothing: that tax bracket has always been around 50% and not only in france.

it was never anything but faddle in both directions: for the hollande gov't it was just showboating to try to convince the hoi polloi he was going to have the rich pull their oars for a change (rêve toujours mon gars!) and for those whose pocketbooks it would have theoretically lightened a teeny bit it was just classic gallic whining. combine being french and rich and you get moaning you can hear in space.

OM and OL are playing the best football in Ligue 1 right now. The clash next weekend at Gerland is gonna be something.

Just enjoy it while it lasts. PSG and Monaco still have deeper rosters than the Olympics . This guy just played his first match in 7 months and is gonna rip up the league assuming the refs dont cut him down. Jan Koeller part deaux.

Lol each of Bielsa's sides have always started very strong, but eventually finish falling apart due to his physically aggressive approach towards each game.
