I know you didn't ask me but -- Basala seems unlikely to me. German-born with parents who are probably not American (though I don't know his/their heritage).

    http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads...blank-at-karlsruher-sc.1974571/#post-29209484

Ebot-Etchi was listed as American on Hertha's web site for years. Unless he gave up his citizenship, or the club was wrong that whole time, I would say he is probably American. (My guess is he picked up Germany citizenship and decided not to list three.)

Forbes I have had on a watchlist for years but don't know anything. Barry, that name's news to me.

Daniel Nepomuceno Navarro - a '91 - is listed as American on Soccerway. He plays for Sao Jose in Porto Alegre in the Gaucho state league. He's usually listed as Brazilian in other sites.

EDIT: Sike, he is American. He trialed with the Rapids in 2012.

Yep. I think I posted that last season but hadn't started a thread on him because he was MIA. Nice find. Seems thread-worthy...

When I was searching his name in the YA forum, I got a hit on the Tigres YA thread, which also had a '91 Daniel Navarro. He had some other different names, but could be the same guy? Or conincidence?

Coincidence. That guy was Daniel Navarro Zermeno, from California.

Either I missed it, or they added it back: http://www.transfermarkt.com/detailsuche/spielerdetail/suche

It seems improved in some ways, worse in others.

Nice. I'll have to play with that a little.

Still, this seems like the classic upgrade that is mostly a downgrade from a user-friendliness standpoint.

Also occurred to me there should maybe be a "Resources" thread? Though this thread is not the worst home for it. We've also batted Soccer-talents around here.

Becker scored vs. SSV Ulm 1846 U17s on 8/30.

Morris played 3 Panda Cup games for Croatia U19s over the summer, vs. host China, Brazil, and New Zealand.

Transfermarkt says FC Bayern Alzenau's Markus-Anthony Alexander is a Yank born in '91. He is listed at the club but I don't have any firm informatoin about his being a Yank.

Transfermarkt says a '93 named Fabian Bastidas currently at River Plate Uruguay was born in Brooklyn.

    http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fabian-bastidas/profil/spieler/340985

Appears to be a real person, if an Instagram profile is confirmation of that:

Apparently from Florida and played for South Florida Elite. Also trained at West Ham it seems.

“I liked the Q & A session with Spector,” said Fabian Bastidas, who played for Sunrise SC in the Super Y-League last season. “I asked him how he got to where he was today. He said that he never thought he was going to be a professional soccer player until he was about my age [14].”
“The best part of this trip for me so far was the chance to walk on the pitch and see the locker rooms of the first team,” said Bastidas. “It felt so good, so professional, to walk around in there and wear the same sweaters as the professional players. I felt like I was part of the West Ham team.”

    http://supery.uslsoccer.com/home/238756.html

Transfermarkt has him playing on the left side of midfield making his 1st team debut on 9/22 vs. CA Fenix going a full 90 with a yellow in a 3-1 win. He came through Bella Vista in Uruguay, starting with their U19s before moving up to the first team in January 2013, then to River Plate in October 2013.

Footballdatabase also has him as Brooklyn-born and with the 1 full game with a yellow at River Plate:
    http://www.footballdatabase.eu/football.joueurs.fabian.bastidas.244095.en.html

I'm going with Yank on this one.

From a tweet from the PDL Westchester Flames:

His Flames bio doesn't list citizenship: http://www.westchesterflames.com/PDL/Roster/index_E.html

But he could be this guy, from Brooklyn, who played JuCo ball at Herkimer CC:

I was hoping to have more to say about this before posting, but a note to the club wasn't super-useful. A couple of sites (Transfermarkt, Soccer Talents) list Ashton Goetz, a '93 at Hamburger SV on the second team, as German-American. The club site doesn't say anything about it and I haven't been able to confirm myself.
