Amazingly, I find myself in Paris (for business and running the marathon on Sunday) while PSG is hosting Chelsea in the CL quarterfinals.

I've used Viagogo before to get tickets to PSG matches and it has worked great, but I've always bought a a ticket with a specific seat assignment, but viagogo has a number of tickets marked ALEATOIRE (which I translate as RANDOM and must be similar to "GENERAL ADMISSION" in American stadium terminology. However, there is a Row number listed by the ticket. That has me confused.

Could someone familiar with Parc des Princes seating policies in the corners and ends explain to me how ALEATOIRE tickets work?

    Thanks in advance.

I'll answer my own question in case someone else has the same question later. I bought an ALEATOIRE ticket on Viagogo. You are actually assigned a section, row, and seat number. However, when I arrived at the stadium, I found that the section was "free seating" or "general admission". So if you do go this route, just be sure to get there early enough that you get a good seat.

This seems like the best thread for PSG ticketing questions....

I will be in Paris for work in October, and it looks like the 5 October match vs. Monaco might work out for me to attend. I went on the PSG website and there wasn't any way to purchase tickets online. My questions are:

Can I just go to the stadium and get a ticket on the day of the match? Are they likely to sell out?
What are the typical price range? I was thinking it would be comparable to the Bundesliga, where the cheapest ticket would be somewhere around 20-25 euro. I looked on Viagogo and found the cheapest was a category 9 at 57 euro, which seems pretty steep.

Also the club and Lugue 1 sites say the game is Oct 5 at 21:00, which seems kind of late for a Sunday night, but Viagogo says Saturday the 4th at 17:00. Which is correct?

Merci bien in advance for any advice about tickets and general game day tips.

First of all, Viagogo is the official reseller of PSG so if you want to buy tickets online, it's probably your best bet. When you purchase through Viagogo, you will actually get an email confirmation from PSG directly and will then go through their site to claim and print your tickets. This is the absolute safest way to get a ticket to a PSG match. I've used it twice to very good effect (PSG v Monaco last year in fact, and PSG v Chelsea in the Champions League quarterfinal as referenced in the thread above).

Keep in mind that Monaco and PSG are the biggest two teams in France these days, and the fixture is likely completely sold out. 57 euros is not bad considering Parisian prices (notice for other PSG games Category 9 tickets are in that 20 euro range you talked about). I have noticed that sometimes ticket prices will fall in the week leading up to a match as more people decide they can't go (remember Viagogo is a resell market, these are generally season ticket holders unloading tickets they can't use).

As for the fixture date, the announced date was Saturday the 4th at 17:00 (the standard weekly time for a French league fixture) however it appears to have been moved for TV to Sunday the 5th at 21:00. (Yes, it seems late but this is when French TV shows their "game of the week"). This is exactly what happened with the PSG v. Monaco match that I went to last year (which was great for me because I only landed in Paris that morning).

I'm no expert but I have seen PSG twice in the last year at Parc des Princes. Feel free to ask any other questions you might have.

PS> Based on my experience last year, I'd say 57 euros is a great deal!

Thanks for the advice. I'll wait until my travel plans are final, but I will be checking back on Viagogo and hopefully there will be someone looking to unload at a reasonable price.

Seems a good thread to post this: I'm in Paris with my family (two soccer obsessed boys, lucky me, and my wife). Hoping to get tix to the Bastia game this Saturday. Any advice on seats that would not be too expensive but also safe/enjoyable for a young family? Thanks!

Well, I was able to score a ticket in the 4th row of the upper tier in the end zone for the Monaco match for 35 Euro! I'm very much looking forward to a night out at PdP.

Quick question: I will need to take the RER/Metro/Bus/Whatever back to Versailles after the game. I don't imagine that would be an issue, but how late do they run?

I'm going to be traveling in Europe next month as well and I have the opportunity to spend a weekend in Paris on Oct 25 and 26. I was thinking seeing PSG play would be a great way to spend some time there and found that they are indeed playing in Paris on Oct 25. I was hoping someone might be able to answer a couple of questions.

    1) I don't speak French at all, how will the experience be seeing a game there? Will I be able to find my way around the stadium? Any pitfalls I can avoid (other than getting fluent in French before I leave)?

    2) Do you have a recommendation on where I should sit in the stadium? I can afford the most expensive tickets I've seen available online ( <= 200 Euros is no problem) so any section available should work. Are there any perks for the more expensive tickets (like club areas)? What about one of these seats... which would be better?

    SECTIONROW PRICE/TICKET

    105 3
    €170.00

    118 5
    €189.00

Thank you for any help you can provide!

You should be fine, but you should check at the station you'll be coming back to. The RER usually stops running around 12 am, but it's different for each station, so you should check before you head out to the Parc.

    1. As long as you know some key words, like in case you get lost and need direction, you should be totally fine. But if you're curious about anything in particular, feel free to ask.

    2. Both sections you've listed would be great. I think you'll definitely have an amazing time. I'd go with the 118/5 since money isn't an issue, but they're both great seats.

Are you going alone? If you're traveling with someone else, I'd definitely recommend sharing the experience with them. You're going to have a lot of fun either way. :)

ANYONE WANT A TICKET TO THE PSG - MONACO MATCH, OCTOBER 5?

Unfortunately, my business trip has been postponed until November, so I will not be able to go. Does anyone want my ticket for the second tier end zone, row 4? PM me or e-mail thomas.hill@emdmillipore.com for details. Make me an offer.

The back story is that Viagogo is the exclusive PSG sales agent, a place where season ticket holders can unload tickets when they can not go. The problem is, if you buy a ticket, you MUST make sure you can go, because ONLY season ticket holders can re-sell tickets. So you can buy, but you are SOL if you can't go and want to sell it to someone.

Of course, Viagogo does not mention this anywhere on their site, and the reps I have been in contact with (probably 15-20 e-mails and 7-8 phone calls) never told me this until just now.

Let me know if you want to go and I can e-mail you the ticket

    Hello Friends,

I am taking a trip to France in October. I am looking on VIAGOGO for tickets to a PSG match, had questions about the tickets and stumbled upon this thread.

From my understanding the Category 9 is like General Admission Stateside. I would like to purchase 3 tickets to the match, when I search for 3 tickets the pricing is at 65 euors, If I search by single tickets the pricing is at 25. The tickets all have a section and a row on it, which confuses me. If it works like general admission, wouldn't it be better on my wallet to purchase 3 individual tickets? If we show up early enough with 3 category 9 tickets, would we be able to sit together any where within category 9? Or does the Section number and row hold truth?

Any help would be much appreciated! would hate to spend 200 euros if I can get away with spending 25

    Thanks!

pandore will be able to answer better than I, but are you sure the 65€ tickets are in the same section as the 25€ ones?
i know that for the past couple of years PSG has taken steps to make sure groups can't sit together in the cheapest seats because of problems real, but also imagined, with supp groups. so it's possible that as soon as you ask for steas together it zaps you over to another section.
in any other stadium in france i'd say don't worry about the row and seat numbers, no one pays attention to them in the ends anyway. but the PdPcould different, only someone who's been there recently can tell you for sure.

I haven't been to the Parc since in quite a while (since I'm in the US for a few years), so it's changed a lot since the last time I've been. The atmosphere is amazing, but it's a lot more organized and strict now. You'll most likely need to bring your ID just in case. As for the seating, it does go up when you request more tickets on viagogo due to security reasons. You could call and ask if there's any way you'll be able to sit together or if the assigned seating would be strictly adhered to. Since you are only a group of three, there may be a way to circumvent the current rules. Because of problems with certain groups, there have been a lot of precautions taken in terms of seating, exchanging tickets, and things like that. If I were you, I'd call and find out before making a decision.

I hope it works out for you! Have a good time in Paris. :)

if you're in paris ahead of time you can probably get your tickets in person just the way you want. before this viagogo thing started the club policy for the cheap seats was you had to have a "membership card" which you got for free just showing your face and ID at the ticket window... what in french is called montrer patte blanche. they just wanted to make sure no one that looked like an ultra got tickets.

but since PSG has been selling out for a while you'll need to be there well ahead of time for that.

i went to viagogo and saw what you saw. it seems to me price goes up with the number of seats you want because availability goes down... after all, viagogo is not a public service, it's a what the market will bear ticket broker.

here's another idea : i went to the official PSG ticket and saw something that goes in the direction of my previous suspicion : it isn't possible to buy more than two tickets at a time, but they sell 2 for 29 euros each, and you get to see the row and seast number before you buy. if you get 2, and then keep trying for the third until you get one not TOO far away you'll definitely be able to arrange with the people around you. they're only parisians, they're not monsters!

and another other idea: i don't know if your main interest is the PdP itself, or PSG, or just a soccer match. but RCL-PSG on 17/10 will not be played in Lens but at the Stade de France, in the paris suburbs and easily reached on the RER. it's a bigger stadium isn;t sold out yet, and you can get tickets here

    http://billetterie.rclens.dspsport....d=RCL&rId=Ticketing&event=M2&perf=S1&profil=0

for between 39 and 18 euros apiece, and no problemo to get three together. and these days you're going to get a lot better atmosphere sitting with lens fans than psg fans.

Thank you all for your help/suggestions.

I have been searching the internet trying to understand the seating more, with no answers found. I'll most likely call to try and understand more, or hope a devoted PSG fan stumbles my way. Very different from sporting events stateside.

As for the Stade de France idea, I wish I could but I will be in Southern France during that time period.

    Thanks again

I don't know about Viagogo. At first, I thought it was a language problem--I don't have the language skills for complicated conversations--but apparently I did understand them correctly. Anyone can buy a ticket on viagogo, but you can't sell if you're not a PSG season ticket holder. They washed their hands of it, saying that it is the club policy, not theirs, so I am stuck with a ticket.

Anyone want to go for free? Let me know and I'll e-mail it to you

what you've heard about the atmosphere and the rough crowd (these always kind of go together) at the PdP are both very old news. the club has completely eradicated their ultras with extreme prejudice.

but PSG is still selling out, and the stadium is a fine one. hard to say what this match in particular will be like, it's the champions' league, but against cypriots some key players may be rested.

the seats are excellent, probably the best available w/o being a season ticket holder. sections 104 and 107 may be a little closer but a lot lower (i was surprised a couple of summers ago to see these kinds of seats costing more than the upper tier for the MLS, here it's the opposite and for good reason). as for the price, browser incompatibility doesn't let me check PSG's own ticket office https://billetterie.psg.fr/ you may want to take a look yourself; in general they are a little cheaper than viagogo but often require you to get seats in packs (this match + a league match), and knowing what PSG charges these days (by far the most expensive club to follow in france) and the quality of the seats i doubt you're being scalped by much. i think viagogo has a special relationship with PSG, it's a site you can trust.

    Hi All

does anyone know how to buy/sell tickets without Viagogo? I last paid €20 fee on top of a €50 ticket for an average game/average seat.. I think this is just too much!

I now have some tickets for the rest of the season and won't be able to go to all of them like PSG - OM on November 09. Can I sell them here?

    Thanks

I'll be in Paris on November 9th when PSG plays OM...right now, tickets on viagogo are 232 Euro for 2 seats after all of the fees. Thats the cheapest option. Do you think it would be worth it? I know its a rival game, but should I take the chance on tickets dropping in price?

that would be a big risk. for most of the tix on sale that's face value or not far from it, the parc de princes for a match de gala isn't cheap. and prices are not going to drop, i would even say don't wait too long, in a couple of days there may be nothing left.

at https://billetterie.psg.fr/ you may avoid some fees but that page won't even open, and my gut feeling is that they're sold out.

a sad thing about PSG tickets is that you pay extra for buying more than one seat at a time. for reasons too complicated to explain right now the club does everything they can to discourage people sitting together (though for TWO people i think they're going overboard) in the cheap seats. so as soon as you say you want 2 seats they limit you to the BORELLI and PARIS stands. there are single tix available for AUTEUIL and BOULOGNE for 70-80€ a pop, but you'll run the risk of not even being close enough to fudge sitting together, and acc to what i saw you'd only be saving 40€, a lot week after week but as a one-time deal...

def worth doing; the parc isn't what it was but atmosphere and quality of play should be excellent.

I wouldn't wait either. If you want to save money though, perhaps getting the tickets individually and not sitting together might be an option. You could get better seats and save a good amount of money. I know people like to sit together and enjoy the experience with the person they're going with, but really, it's not so bad. I sat alone this past saturday at the Real Madrid - Barcelona game because we could only find separate seats and I ended up with an incredible seat, which totally made sitting alone more than worth it. ;)

But yes, PSG - OM games are more expensive. Those games are always fun to go see though. Good luck and enjoy!

thanks for the help! I will definitely purchase the tickets this week. I would need to get 2 together since I am going with my wife and this is part of our honeymoon! So sitting apart from each other is not an option haha. One question, are any of the seats with an obstructed view?

Congratulations! That's so exciting. I definitely understand the need for seats next to each other. :)

In my experience (and I've sat in a few different places throughout the years), you can get a good and clear view of the game from any seat. I'm pretty sure none of the seats have an obstructed view, but I could be wrong.

Oh and be sure to bring your passport or some form of ID with you to the game!
