Here's an optimistic view of the Turkish NT in the next few years. With talents like Çalhanoglu, Gülüm, Uçan, Oguzhan, Gökhan Töre, Semih Kaya, Karadeniz, Tosun, Yesil and many more, we are offensively not lacking talents. Defensively on the other hand we clearly need a few good backs, who know how to defend. We need better defenders. And for the love of this country, please DO NOT select Volkan Demirel. He keeps making mistakes at the NT, not a good choice at all.

Here's what I want to see in the future:

    Arda - Burak - Töre
    Salih Uçan/Oguzhan/Çalhanoglu

    Topal - Alper Potuk/Inan/Topuz/

    Kaldirim/X - Toprak - Semih/Gülüm - Gönül/X

    ONUR

Imparator is not a bad coach, he is one of the few coaches in Turkey who can make the turkish nt play good football and get us some good results, but he really needs to realize that parking the bus against bigger teams must be done. He should also learn how to organize a defense and quit his 2 striker system. Umut and Burak are useless together. With the right attitude, tactic, strategy, mentality and players this national team is capable of achieving many things. May the Lord be with us during these campaigns.

I will post the schedule for the tournaments and information about the matches, players etc. etc. in the future.

Good luck! You're going to need it. I hope to see Turkey in a World Cup in the future, hopefully!

There is too much youngsters in Turkey. If old coach was fired early, maybe we can reach WC 2014 finals too.

Currently this would be my choice of players in the Turkish NT:

    --------------------Mevlüt/Pektemek---------------------

    Arda------------------Calhanoglu--------------------Töre

    --------------Salih------------------Cigerci/Tufan--------

    Caner------------Toprak-------Ayhan----------------Tarik

    ------------------------Onur/Tolga--------------------------

Alper and Oguzhan can deserve a spot in this team as well.

    Nice trio behind the striker

Salih? Salih Ucan? the wonderkid from Roma? He is at U 21 now.

Correct. But it is only a matter of time before he gets a call up for the main NT. Our U21 has a couple of gems that in my opinion deserve to be in the NT already.

Yeah, the "Dutch" Bilal opted for Turkey instead of Netherlands. I hope he will make the same at senior level.

We are 1-0 down against Denmark after a stupid foul by Ahmet Ilhan.

Terim has done a horrible job with this starting eleven.

Ozan Tufan with a beauty. 2-1 FT

Olcay scored the first one for us.

Apart from scoring a screamer in the last minute Ozan Tufan played well after he came on. This is why want him to be a first choice in the midfield. Much better than the likes of Selcuk or Topal.

This is the starting eleven against Iceland. If we play it smart we should be able to win this one without too much hassle.

Yes, unfortunetly U21 lost to Sweden! What a Game 4-3 in the end after Turkey bounce back for 1-3.

Terim fails yet again. Iceland should've been at least 3-0 up by now. We're lucky they only scored once.

Topal must play on the midfield, not in the defence. He screws up Toprak and Ersan.

Burak and Olcan must be subbed off. Pektemek and Calhanoglu need to get on.

What a result. Totally unexpected. This team has potential, but...let's hope for a improvement in the future. Calhanglou should be starter.

The Czech Republic vs Turkey match is just under three weeks away. I know Toprak is suspended for this match and Nuri Sahin will likely miss it as well, but will Ersan Gulum be fit? If not, who do you guys think will play beside Semih Kaya at CB and what changes do you guys expect to see after that defeat to Iceland?

I expect you guys to be a lot better than your performance in the Iceland match and I definitely think you guys will provide a tough test for us. It'll interesting to see if Terim will drop any players like he said he would.

    Hi Everyone,

Long-time lurker and a first time poster. My wife and I live in Columbus, Ohio and we are headed to Istanbul October 3-12. We want to go to the Turkey-Czech Republic Euro Qualifier on Friday October 10th. at Fenerbahce's Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium.

For the life of me I cannot find where to buy tickets!

I have looked on biletix.com, the Turkish FA website, passolig.com.tr, general Google searches and I cannot find where I can buy match tickets. Does anybody have any idea where I can buy these tickets? Or should I just get them at the stadium? Will I need my passolig card to get in the stadium for national team matches the way I will for regular league matches?

We are actually planning to go to the Fenerbahce vs Konyasport game on Sunday the 5th so in theory I can get tickets there (I think). Fenerbahce drug their feet big time on this new passolig initiative and just now joined it: http://www.dailysabah.com/football/2014/09/23/fenerbahce-agree-to-join-passolig-system

I have not ordered my passolig card yet since Fenerbahce is not included in the system yet and realize that I will need to figure out will call to pick up my tickets without the actual card in had which is addressed in the passolig FAQ section.

    Any insights are appreciated!

They are on sale on the TFF.TR website but it appears that you have to have a Turkish ID number and address to buy them!! Why don't you e-mail the TFF? I am looking to go to the Brazil game so am a litle concerned about my own ability to get a ticket. Very surprised they are not for sale on the Biletix site (for the Czech game). Good luck anyway.

    Thanks for the information Denilson.

Here is an email I just sent the TFF. I'll post back regarding what I hear. I hope they will respond.

    Hello!

I am an American citizen visiting Istanbul. I am a huge football fan and would like to attend the Turkey – Czech republic match on Friday the 10th of October. I am having trouble navigating the system to purchase tickets for my wife and I since I do not speak Turkish, have a Turkish address, have a Turkish ID number or passport. Can I call 444 4 TFF (833) to order over the phone? Will I be able to purchase tickets from the Stadium box office when I arrive in Istanbul?

    Any information is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Perhaps they do not want anyone to turn up!! I have done a Google translate of this English text and sent it! "Can you please respond to my earlier message - I am getting very frustrated about trying to order a ticket for Turkey v Czech Republic. How can one do that without a Turkish ID number please?!! I thought Biletix would sell them? Is this problem going to exist when you sell tickets for the Brazil game in November also?"

They told me you can (a) write in English when applying, and (b) use your passport number - presumably not needing a Turkish ID number. Good luck - and let me know how you get on please.
