I understand that its not always a shit storm on the MA threads but sometimes some people might want an outlet.

Made this thread just in case it gets too ridiculous.

Seems the hot topics are Memo and Hernandez, biggest buzz going around there along with Jimenez.

Im personally not worried about Javi, i honestly think he is going to be a big part of VG system. Maybe not as a starter but will be giving the chance if the time arrives. And at this point, he doesnt deserve to be a starter.

Lets just assume in this window some team will come up with an offer to United that they cant refuse (ignoring the asset they have off the bench) this team still needs to pay his wages. And then some will say, well get him on loan and United will pay his wages while hes at another club. Why would United do this? Its a long dam season and if rumors are true Hernandez is above Welbeck in the pecking order.

Memo, is in the most dyer situation but its still not the end of the world. Says a lot about the confidence in Memo believing hes already done 1 Liga game in. Id like to think he can and will win the spot back -- it wont be easy and quick but it will take a lot of patience for himself and the fans.

I dont think this would work, if any rumor gets posted anywhere people would still talk about it -- i dont think you can just have a link and no one talking about it.

I was of the mentality of Javier sticking with it for longer, but after seeing how great Gio and Vela have become after going to smaller clubs I think Javier should do the same. Go to a club where he is the focus point. I think it would do him good. I don't buy into the "he was never good enough narrative."

    Thats a really good point.

Well, its really up to him isnt it? - He had chance to move to South Hampton but rejected the move. Vela and Gio were dying to get out, i dont think Hernandez feels that right now - last year he definitely did but this season i think VG told him hes in his plans this season and will be giving a fair shot.

I want to see what Chich can do at a big team that's in another league (italian, spanish).
at worst, Ochoa will play cup games. But he will definately start soon.
I'm most worried about Pulido not getting of Mexico.

Yeah. There's no way of knowing what are the plans exactly. Whatever it is hopefully he does get more playing time, but not just with the reserves on the pitch, hopefully he gets a start alongside Rooney while the other big names are on the pitch.

I think Memo will be okay. It's been 1 game. No sense in getting worked up over it.

Also, just to chime in on this sentiment since it's still the first pages and the topics aren't in full swing yet. Can we discuss how the word "spazzo" is an absolute cancer to any form intelligible discussion? Even more so than memes, gifs and pictures.....

Anyone who abruptly flys into a thread and just addresses the crowd as spazzos and then abruptly leaves instantly loses all respect in my eyes.

Do you guys know what the term gas lighting is? While it's usually associated to other serious shit, it's a scumbag confrontation tactic. Spazzo is essence is a watered down attempt at executing that shit at the forum level. Deflects topics, manipulates conversations, and it confuses/gets a reaction out of people.

"Hurr hurr, you disagree with me on something I have a firm stance on , thus your need to calm down or you are exaggerating, and you don't know what your seeing."

How do you even respond to that without going into a dick measuring contest?

Literally, all it takes is someone coming into a thread with like a one sentence statement using that word in respect to the relevant discussion, and suddenly the thread either abruptly comes to a stop, a random argument breaks out, or the derail goes into full effect.

It's like, come the fvck on........the saddest shit is when mods resort to it.

With RVP made of glass, i can see him getting plenty of time. You never know - one of those two might go down for months and the spot is open. His chances will be there, he just needs to take them.

He needs to earn playing time with the likes of the squad against MK Dons, VG gave all those fringe and young players a chance to see what they can provide, unfortunately it wasnt much of anything. But as i stated, i dont think Hernandez hurt his playing time in the future as others were proclaiming.

I like the idea behind this thread, but can someone please move it out of the MNT: News, Analysis, & History sub-forum.

It takes 3 clicks just to get here.

Should be in the Mexican's Abroad forum(maybe as a sticky) or in the main forum page imo.

Even the best threads die in this sub-forum.

That's already been done, this thread does not belong in N&A.

Let's give it a shot, but the same rule applies throughout the sub-forum. Y'all can debate to your heart's content- but this is not the place for incessant player bashing "fack Vela" type posts, regardless of the player. Objective criticism is welcome in any thread, but if you guys get stuck on personal attacks, flaming etc. it isn't going to work.

I agree, the term spazz sounds very childish and gives nothing to a conversation but in the context of Bigsoccer everyone knows the BigSoccer definition and it just kind of fits the point your trying to make. I dont think the term will go away since its embedded in BigSoccer 'culture'

On the Cheech topic, it seems at this point he'll be staying. Watching those highlights from yesterday's game, he really didn't play that bad, aside from the few missed passes. But naturally he was out of his position. He's not a midfielder so obviously he's going to look like a tronco out there when playing that role. Unless something surprising happens in the next few days that Juve rumor wont happen either, as it seems there wont be any more big signings for the Serie A champs.

Guess Ill post what I said earlier about United's result

"this was a Capital One cup match with a team full of youth players plus a few (out of form)1st team guys so the result shouldn't be terribly shocking. Now if this was the first team losing 4-0 to a 3rd division team then yeah it'd be atrocious but upsets are common in cup games just usually by a smaller margin."

It's still one less tournament for Chicharito to participate in but now they have Di Maria who should have playing time with CH14 throughout the season(hopefully). I still want to see Chicharito in Italy or Spain or another EPL team but I am also really curious to see if DM can provide Javier with more chances because it's annoying seeing him drop deep or on the wings when he isn't that kind of player. Still seems strange that RM sold him. Similarly with Ozil but lets hope he can hit the ground running. Never would of thought we could see Di Maria and Chicharito on the same field

    edit
It seems RedCafe calmed down. Fans usually do over time. We can finally acknowledge that lineup was weak and destined to fail in a cup game where minnows love to raise their game. That doesn't excuse some of the shittyness and Cheech fukd up many simple things but that isn't his game sadly.

After watching the Cheech highlights vs MK Dons, I dont think he was terrible either, yes there were a few bad passes. But he was still running and had his head up to try and make some good passes. Part of this could be that the team is still getting used to VG's tactics, including Cheech

I also think he will get his time to shine with the first team, and I am hoping that its not just Moyesesque 85th minute sub time, which will get him back into his old form.

As far as Memo, Im not sure why he isnt on the first team. I hope he breaks out of the bench soon though

Cheech did not have a great game. That being said, he was one of the best players for United in that game. Tells you something about United.
