Ecuador always plays like shite in the Copa America, nothing new.

What happened to Vizuete? I thought he did a good job and every game he brought out a little Ecuadorian flag. I remember the game against Brazil in Quito after the Brazilian goal (by Baptista?). Luis Fabiano's face was beyond happy, they thought they had gotten 3 points while doing nothing and being dominated. Noboa equalized, of course.

Good luck in qualifiers, we'll be seeing you in November ;)

I would like for Bauza to take charge but I'm also anxious to see how Vizuete does in these upcoming friendlies!

With Bauza out of the picture officially, there was never a plan B was there? to make matters worst, Chiriboga is in a world of trouble, I do not know if you heard the audio which he was not aware of in which he talks about "sepultar" LDU'S plan for all team to join a Liga profesional and become a separate entity from FEF, at least first division wise. our new coach is a subject in no one's mind right now, Vizuete will play the U-20 in January if he qualifies us to the World cup, he'll become a solid option to value, if he qualifies us to the Olympics then we'll beg him to take the job lol, if not I guess Quinteros is next in line.

Now I know that Chiriboga said "no mas colombianos" but if he gets re-elected expect him to make a 180 turn and call his buddies again, I am still a little scared knowing Pinto or even Rueda himself have not signed with anyone else.

I hope the Fossati-Aguinaga duo is #1 and it could become a reality. Other than that I'd say Antonio "turco" Mohamed, Marcelo Gallardo, Ricardo Gareca, and of course Vizuete are names that I personally like. Last on my list would be Quinteros. Maybe Sabella is wishful thinking but I'd add that name to the list even though I think it would be impossible for us.

Aguinaga doesn't last more than a month or two at most teams. He seems like a whiny bitch.

I like it, he knows our futbol, close with Enner, likes to have the ball, plays with a heavy midfield, consistent formation, only issue is that Emelec's defense has not been brilliant, efficient at best and right now, defense is our weakness, expect Achillier to be called up along with Mena and Bolanos.

Ok, I'll call out the elephant in the room. I know Ecuador was already done with Colombian DTs. I get that. But this is a huge step back imo for Ecuador. This is not Emelec nor is it Bolivia. Ecuador has plenty of players playing abroad and needed a DT that can handle those type of egos. Someone with a track record! I recall JLPinto having guys like Ivan Cordoba for the NT do triple practice days to the point that it would break him because he felt there was no difference from a Atletico Huila player and an Inter Milan player.

Then, after the Bolillo mess, we finally had a reason and the justification to call for an intl coach with pedigree to match the caliber of our players form. Did we have to pay a ton for Pekerman, yes. But 1) it broke the Colombian Maturana-Bolillo-Lara mafia and 2) we were successful and due to NT growth not only did we return to a WC but all the sponsors came coming and now there's plenty of money to pay any top coach....it also helped that even Santos(Colombian president) publicly called for a true top pedigree DT.
